Don't know the original source but teamtalk mention Gabbidon. He's nearly as injury-prone as Gardner. It'll be like an episode of Casualty in our dressing room. www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,2483_3754416,00.html Potters keen on £2m Gabbidon raid
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is ready to test West Ham's resolve to keep centre-half Danny Gabbidon at Upton Park by making a £2million bid. he Potters boss is desperate to sign an experienced defender to play at the heart of his defence and has already been linked with out-of-favour Tottenham centre-back Anthony Gardner. But he is also thought to be considering a move for Wales international Gabbidon, who has struggled with injuries during his time at Upton Park. Hammers boss Alan Curbishley is mulling over his defensive options for the new season and has also seen Anton Ferdinand linked with a £8million move away from the club. But Curbishley is desperate to keep Ferdinand in east London whom he sees as his first-choice centre-half alongside Matthew Upson, so may therefore prefer to cash in on Gabbidon instead. Gabbidon, 28, joined the Hammers in July 2005 but has only made 57 Premier League starts during his time at the club and has been troubled by a niggling groin strain over recent months. It is not known whether a move to the Britannia Stadium would suit Gabbidon, but the opportunity to play regular first-team football would clearly appeal to the Cwmbran-born star.

Maybe both Grapey, I can see Pulis not 100% trusting Cort or Shawcross so maybe he wants to find a couple of centre halves!?

I fully expect 2 centre halves to come in especially if Gardner is one of them....

Good physical attributes, would love to see Gabbidon join us; I'm enjoying the players being linked to us, some really good players. Just got to hope that Pulis can persuade Mr Seedorf to be part of the set up.

Nothing new, but the Gabbidon rumour has resurfaced in a Welsh paper.
Stoke want Gabbidon
Jul 2 2008 by Paul Abbandonato, Western Mail
WALES defender Danny Gabbidon is being linked with a £2m move to Premiership newcomers Stoke City.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis wants Gabbidon, below, to help shore up his team’s defence as they come up against the big guns.
Gabbidon recently signed a new three-year deal with West Ham and would be loathe to move on.
But he also knows his first-team opportunities could be limited under Alan Curbishley, who has Anton Ferdinand and Matthew Upson as his first-choice centre-backs.
Gabbidon’s Wales and former Cardiff City colleague James Collins will be thrown into the mix when he returns from injury.
Pulis has pinpointed 28-year-old Gabbidon as his No1 summer transfer target.
The Wales star would have to weigh up whether the chance of regular first-team football would outweigh any wrench of leaving the Hammers.
Gabbidon has made only 57 starts for West Ham since his move to the club in July 2005. He has recently been troubled by a persistent groin injury and it has been reported a switch to the Britannia Stadium could come as a welcome opportunity to reignite his career.
Gabbidon recently received alternative therapy in a bid by medics to cure the groin problem which dogged him last season.

This quote from the latest story is strange.........
"Pulis has pinpointed 28-year-old Gabbidon as his No1 summer transfer target".
I don't know where they have got that one from. I'd say, from what we know, that Fulop was the No1 target of those he expects to get and Harewood is No1 on his wish list.
