Can't see any reason to change my prediction from the start of the season yet - finish 4th, reach the play off final and lose...

I'm even more optomistic having seen Pugh's performance in midfield yesterday. We still need a couple of good signings but we are getting there. I'll go for a top 6 place mainly because I haven't seen anything resembling real quality in this league. On that basis, we have as good a chance as anyone.
OS.

At present I'd say we look good for top six. A month or so back most thought our league position flattered us, I don't think it does now. We've played a game against each of the relegated clubs (two home games and one away) and we have two wins and a draw scoring 5 and conceeding 1. I'd say top six is where we should be.
Whether we can progress and turn our top six place into an auto promotion place (or conversely we start to slide down the table) depends upon our success in the January Sales. So far things haven't "dropped" for us in respect of some of our targets but we have to hope that TP and Coates have learned from their difficulties earlier in the season. Certainly, players who want to go to a club with promotion hopes now have a shorter list of likely candidates to choose from and (perhaps surprisingly) we are on that shorter list. Some clubs, although probably not those with parachute payments, have spent the bulk of their budget by now. Allegedly we haven't so that has to be good news.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAARRRRRRRRRNNN STOKE - make it happen! ;D

With the present squad, top 6 - with THAT team spirit and a little more investment, we could well challenge for one of the top 2 spots, so I'll say 5th without and 2nd with investment.

IF we bring in some quality in January I can see us finishing about 4/5th. :)IF we dont bring in the players I think we will finish 7/8th.

If Pulis is given decent money then we will finish 2nd. He's doing a great job BUT we are in desperate need of bolstering our midfield.
otherwise, i can see us missing out. 8th again.

With the current squad we will do well to hold a top six position. With a couple more, better than what we have creative/attack minded additions, then we could even push for the top two. IMHO.
Injuries and suspensions could hit us hard and we don't have enough quality to replace going forward for me. We seem to cope well with a few defenders missing, as seen admirably yesterday, but I'm not so sure how we'd cope if we were without the likes of Lawrence, Fuller and Cresswell for any length of time.
I think the bench yesterday told a story. Parkin aside, there was nobody else on there for any other reason than to cover for injuries, to be used as a last resort.

as always depends on the jan window
with a couple or 3 decent players (decent not superstars lol) 4th
with out any signings I cant see the current squad lasting the whole season and think we will drop to around 10th /11th towards the end.
a couple of injuries and we are buggered a couple of signings and we could be on our way to wembly
4 or 5 signings and automatic promotion is definatly a reasonable possibility
