Well, let's face it. He can't tackle can he? His timing of his runs into the box is superb (from corner/set-pieces anyway). His goals per game is fantastic (well, isn't it Mama?). Maybe a move up front is due.
A striker in the making maybe?

I was slated a few years ago for daring to suggest Chris Iwelumo play at centre half, when we were struggling in that position,at the time the big man was'nt scoring but would win 80% of his headers! All about your own opinion and whatever you suggest on here someone will shoot you down!! Just noticed, thanks to those restoring my karma to pre competition win!!!!

It's like this....
He used to as a youth play upfront like his brother Carl When he got to Hull they made him a centre back He now plays either and is an attacking defender or average striker(mama sorta)
When we had Kenwynne Jones we played him upfront even though at Southampton in the reserves he played centre-back hence the reason he was great at defending corners...
Thats what happened ok!!!

Cort could possibly be a good striker but hes a cracking good defender. Wins a lot of balls in the air, few players get past him with the ball as he shepherds them away from goal and as he is a close marker if they shoot it tends to go straight at him. He doesn't do anything irrational and so in the Premiership he won't be giving away cheap fouls meaning that there will be fewer opportunities for the free kick experts to make our task harder.

It's great to hear a few other people saying this too now, I thought I was going crazy for a while... I just think the old-fashioned thing (John Charles was the greatest ever at this, older posters confirm please) of a player switching between central defender and big bustling centre forward would work superbly in the TP philosophy and in Leon and Ryan we have two players who could do it and I don't see why it wouldn't work at Prem level. Dion Dublin is the most recent I can think of who did it.

Paul Warhurst did it for Sheff Wed i think.
Paul Warhurst (born 26 September 1969, Stockport) is an English football player. He plays primarily as a defender, but has also played in midfield or as a striker at various points in his career. Having played for 16 different clubs through his career, Warhurst is regarded as one of the quintessential journeymen of English football.

Big Bren was a very competent centre half and well as a very good target man.

Well he can't defend, starting him at centre half in the Premier League would be suicidal.
But come on.. Cort as a striker? We do want to stay up, don't we? Waste of time I think, we'd be better off just trying to sell him.
