Let's say you are a multi-billionaire. You decide that you are going to invest virtually unlimited funds to buy and develop an ENGLISH (No Cardiff, Swans etc) football club. You have no affinity or ties with any club, (including negative perceptions), you are simply doing this to say "I did it better than anyone else". After you have won more trophies in a shorter timeframe than Liverpool, ManC, or ManU, your aim is to walk away knowing that the club is self-sustaining and will probably never be lower than Premiership ever again.
Which club do you buy and why?
Exclusion Criteria: 1. You cannot pick Stoke City. 2. Don't want a club currently in Prem, or top 6 of Championship. 3. Don't want anyone who has won Top tier or FA Cup in last 50 years. 4. Must have reasonably big potential fanbase to ensure sustainability. 5. Don't want to be seen as "taking over" or "building on" someone else's success.

My choice would be one of Birmingham City, Sunderland, Sheffield United/Wednesday, Bolton or Plymouth. On final analysis it would probably have to be Sheffield United.

The rules make it a very short list to choose from. Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday, Middlesbrough, Birmingham or Derby is about it.

Sell the Stadium to Asda and liquidate the club.

Port Vale. Sell the Stadium to Asda and liquidate the club. Hopefully that's already in progress. I'd prefer a Lidl meself.

West Brom or Preston. Would be good to see fellow founder members doing well.
Don't mind either club tbh.
