We (Station Meir) were pulling this off over 20 years ago in the Ansells league. First time we tried it worked, the opposition went mental. Little did they know that we had wised the ref up on what we were going to do and he said fine, the ball only has to move an inch. Teams soon got wise to us.

The ball didn’t travel its own circumference.

The ball didn’t travel its own circumference. I've thought this every one of the dozens of times that this particular video pops up on my YouTube or Instagram feed. Strangely, the FA rules don't mention it travelling a set distance but mention it must be kicked and must clearly move. Another wishy washy grey area in the rules. The ball is in play when it is kicked and clearly moves; it does not need to leave the corner area
