Can’t recall seeing a thread based on purely cars.
Any enthusiasts especially as there’s no footy for a few months.

Ive spent the last 15yrs spending every penny i have on keeping a 1990 Lancia Delta HF turbo on the road. Ive had a Beta Coupe . A Thema with the Ferrari engine (like the Pope has) and this is my third Delta.

I'm a noisy convertible enthusiast. Started with a suzuki sj413 jeep in my 20's, alfa spiders in my 30's and 40's, lexus sj413 in my 50's, jaguar xkr now. I feel lucky to have lived through the golden age of the motor car, they can stick their electric/driverless/restricted nonsense up their arse

Spent all day washing/waxing/lacquering the wife’s car did mine yesterday and it’s now wrapped up in a cover in the garage, seriously thinking about having my cars front end wrapped to avoid stone chips etc had it ceramic coated which looks awesome “so far”

If you're married how on earth have you managed that?

Swear he used to bang one out looking at them 😆

Orate the top of the range one's of those. Never had one though. Mate had a vauxhall nova back in the day. A 1.5 TD. Went like the clappers or at least we thought it did anyway 😃

After giving up the motorbike first car was Triumph Herald, couldn't really get enthusiastic about that but the MK3 Cortina GXL was great. Rusted for fun and a money pit but it was worth the effort, even had the engine out and rebuilt it at a time when doing that was a straightforward job.

Only a 1600 engine but I always suspected someone put a two litre in, it was really fast off the mark! Gear stick came off in my hand but was still able to use by wiggling it back in, the gear box was that smooth! Sold it in London for twice the price I paid, £200 profit! 😒 Wings were full of filler. When the buyer asked if they'd been filled my London friend said, no they're fibreglass! 😂🤫

My dad had quite a few cars as you did back in the day, one particularly i remember was a lancia beta spider i think it was, lovely motor but it literally dropped to bits with rust in about 18 months.. my dad couldn't believe it so he got rid and had a schimitar gte no rust problems there but a tad expensive on the insurance..

Same thing happened to my Lancia Beta Coupe. After That i got the later models (1988 onwards) because they undersealed the uk models because we salt the roads.
