What’s with the really depressing music on it?
It’s a wonderful bit of music and I’ve seen Hans Zimmer play it live and it was beautiful. But it just doesn’t match the video imo. It’s kind of like a lament on past good times.

Impossible to watch this and not get emotional, proud and excited about the future.

The song is beautiful but yeah it makes me even more determined to get to the game just for kick off even more.

Which I get that but that song for me turns into a lament. It’s just so sad. It’s a beautiful beautiful song but it just makes it more of a video of about something that has been lost and will never be had again. Really depresses me.

I quite like it but can see where you’re coming from. I guess it is a bit of a lament for what we’ve lost but always shows how high we climbed after our previous fall from grace.

For anyone who’s interested, the music is called “Time” composed by Hans Zimmer. It’s the soundtrack from the film “Inception”.

Went to see Hans Zimmer at the O2 last year an amazing concert. The music Time from Inception is my favourite. I can't watch that video without feeling an immense sense of pride as a Stokie.

It’s haunting. To me it makes it feels like a time lost and that we’ll never get back. Funnily enough, not a massive fan of that feeling.

Saw Contrarian Waffle supporting World of Twist in the early 90s. Great band.

Peter Handyside. God bless you. Yes. Very fitting to include him. Reminded me just how sad it is that he is no longer with us, at such a young age. Fine footballer and person.

I’ve seen Hans Zimmer play it live. That and his Interstellar scores are truly remarkable and I would recommend it to anyone to go and see him live.
Fantastic compilation and I completely disagree with Bayern. It’s nostalgic, yes. But makes you realise what we‘re fighting for - glory.

Great song, but wrong song for the video. Said it first game of the season. Far too sombre.

Watching those goals go in, the fans going mental - didn't even pay much attention to the music myself. It's a beautiful song, but I agree that it could be seen as a little somber. I'd love to see it performed live. But that's what we do on here. We can turn anything into a debate - it's why I enjoy reading the posts on here.
What a way to close out this season though! And we don't have to listen to Birmingham's whining/malarkey next year. All of you knuckleheads are a part of the fabric of the Oatcake. Pessimistic, Optimistic and the delusional are all required and welcome as far as I'm concerned. Pretty sure that I cycle through all three during these seasons. And I don't mind being called out on it either.
