Like our own Jack Ashley. Unfortunately the exceptions that prove the rule. Thanks for letting us know he has passed on. God rest his soul; condolences to all his loved ones.

RIP Frank and condolences to your family and friends.
As lordb puts he is what you want in an MP. I lived in and around merseyside and on the Wirral for many years and he stood out a mile.

Very sad news. I had the good fortune to meet him many years ago.
A dying breed of politicians with genuine human values, fighting for real social justice, and putting these principles before their own self interests and career ambitions. Sadly, I just don’t see these kind of people in politics these days.
RIP

RIP Frank, a man of conviction and principles, not someone who just towed the party line to further his own career.
