I'd like him at Stoke but that depends what happens with Leris. We have junior and Leris who can both play wing back and right back. Arguably gooch too. I think we'll be targeting left back, centre back, striker ahead of this area It will simply come down to; 1) How much Hoever would actually cost 2) How much SS likes him I think the 2nd statement, the answer is "A lot" and therefore I don't think it will matter what options we have there, if the manager likes and wants Hoever, and is attainable, he will go for him. The problem is, I think Hoever will cost £3-4m and have sizeable wages to tackle, which casts a lot of doubts. Shame though I think he would be a fantastic signing permanently and 1 we might regret not getting when he turns out to be better than a lot of critics realise.

With Junior and Gooch on our books we should spend our money elsewhere and not on another right back! A left back on the other hand.....

We need 2 Left backs for starters and one of them should not be Enda Stevens. In regards to the RB position. Junior is unproven and I don't think is ready for a 46+ game season. Gooch is a useful utility player but I don't particularly rate him highly in any specific position, nevermind RB. So personally, I think we do need a RB but obviously not highest priority when we are desperate for 2 LBs, 2 CBs, a Keeper and a new starting striker.

If I never saw Lynden Gooch play for Stoke again, I'd be very happy and I'm far from convinced re Junior who looks more like an athlete than a footballer to me. Hoever is infinitely superior to them both, despite his faults.

I really like what I've seen from him so far, he only needs to learn his position better and be given the right back/right wing back role, not that inverted shit that we don't have the players for!

He's not a winger, he doesn't have a trick or the pace. He's best when he can build up a head of steam and use his power running from deep, like with the goal on Saturday. Absolutely, so combine that with the fact he can't defend and it makes him fairly useless especially on his wages. Yep, it's why I wouldn't sign him. We need someone who is at least competent defensively. A whole new back 4/5 for next season please.

Agreed. He looked far better before AFCON, when he was allowed to simply run down the flank. This desire to overload the midfield and ignore every other position on the pitch annoys me.

I think for a couple of mill he'd be a steal but Wolves would have to subsidise his wages otherwise he'll sit on his contract and go out on loan again. I'd still take him on loan but I do see the argument against that with our own player to develop.

It confuses me I don't really understand the inverted FB role but it's over complicating things for a very raw player. Junior needs it kept pretty simple positionally so he can concentrate on improving his touch and final ball. Far easier for an already polished player to be handed a positional conundrum.

Which do you need if you are up in attack and lose possession though? I just have a picture in my mind of a match, can't remember the opponents, when there was a counter attack from which the opposition scored and Junior was just about in our half when they did.

4 goals. 5 assists.
Nobody in the squad has more goal contributions this season.
Sign him up.

He’s not good enough for the money he is on and the transfer fee he’d cost.
He doesn’t turn up for 90% of the season and has done that consistently over 18 months. The only thing that has been consistent about him.

If we’ve got the chance to bring him back and the deal is right it’s an absolute no brainer. And I’m sure with proper centre backs alongside him his shortcomings which we see defensively won’t be exposed as much, but theresno doubting his quality

I think he is a good footballer. His pass was perfect for million first.
Wolves will likely want to make some money but he’s certainly too weak to start in the Prem which gives us a chance. He’s been no worse than our other defenders but finishing the season so well has been at least partly down to him, goals and assists when we needed them.
Junior not at his level yet.

Rumour going around the ground today is that we’ve offered £4 million for him Whether that's true or not re FFP it would need to be at £3.5m or Wolves would have to write it as a loss I've no idea what our budget is like him be pleased if we sign him but can't be any doubt it's pricy Could end up making money on him though
