Didn't see any skirmishes myself. Had the banter with them on the way to the ground. They are a like us, dismayed with how their season is going. My 8th visit to the ground and I've never seen us lose there. Yes, the ground is a bit battered but has miles more character then new builds. Great atmosphere from them and us. I hope they stay up with us too How can they be dismayed at how their season is going? If anything, they're outperformimg their expectations š

Imagine being pathetic enough to get into a fight over a football game š

Fantastic support from us. Equally as good home support from them. Filled the ground and supported there struggling team to the hilt. Better than we could do at home. But then again 6 seasons of turgid football has knocked it out of us. Personally I love the ground just as it is. Yesterdayās game and atmosphere reminded me of a classic 70ās FA Cup match. Great away day for me. They were decent pre-match but pretty flat until they scored. Never felt it was coming from all sides like our early PL era and, dare I say, the Boro and WBA matches from every stand.

Anyone notice the lady in a mobility scooter we helped to push up the hill because it had run out of battery? Now that's bizarre!

An ice cream van went past mine earlier as it happens. Doesn't really help you in your quest for a 99 but thought I'd let you know. I used to tell my kids if it was playing a tune they had none left. Eric Morecambe looking out of the window, an ambulance goes past sirens blaring... "He's not going to sell many ice creams going at that speed!" š

I read yesterday that is was reported that some Stoke lads had beaten up an old fella in the town centre before the game. No idea if it's true or not.

Yes he was still being booed as a time wasting cheat as he went off with concussion Not convinced we were time wasting much really as that would require organisation and composure Is Burger ruled out for next week? I think for a confirmed case itās ten days. Iāve tried to look on line but canāt find anything definite. I think it's 6, it's in the the FA's guide to concussion, if it was concussion, could be 7 though... The pathway begins at midnight on the day of injury. Each stage must take a minimum of 24 hours. Progression to the next stage should only occur as long as symptoms are not more than mildly and briefly exacerbated. If there is a worsening of symptoms at any stage of the GRTP programme, the individual must return to the previous stage and attempt to progress again after a minimum 24-hour period Stage 1 is an initial rest period of 48 hours. In the first 48 hours, it is ok to perform mental activities (e.g. reading), and normal activities of daily living as well as walking. Stage 2 Light exercise Stage 3 Football specific exercise Stage 4 Non-contact training Stage 5 Full contact training Stage 6 Return to play (RTP)

To be fair it's usually an old fella or women and children in these rumours Usually motivated by the fact that they canāt fight back, making them the perfect target for āmenā to show how strong they are.

If you let a 17 year old wind you up at a football match, youāre about as mature as said 17 year old.

My mumās first game after her recent release from prison and boy was she in her element. She was straight into the Wednesday lot as soon as we got there and I had to pull her away from a couple of skirmishes before the game where, in fairness, someone had likened her to āPhil Mitchell with a pair of titsā. Her fighting spirit and will to twat anyone who isnāt Stoke was there throughout the game and when we equalised she duly went mental and ended up getting escorted out by an āoverzealous steward who couldnāt wait to cop a feelā according to her. I went to meet her behind the stand after the game where she had clearly rattled a few more cages as she was face down on the ground with twelve police officers having to restrain her (she is a very strong lady). Thankfully they let her go ( more for their own safety), and she was able to finally clobber some little ginger kid who could have been no older than 17. She hit him that hard heās now a Sheffield United supporter. Good times.
This is why I come on holiday to the Oatcake now and again to get away from the darkness of OVF. This is post is pure quality. I would love to read a book about 'your mum'.
