They were there today, loud and proud and we were dished up that negative, cowardly bullshit as a thank you...

Hopefully we will find a way to scrape in this division next season. The tactics handed Wednesday the initiative. We were lucky to still be in the game at half time. If the tactics worked, why did we make a half time substitution and finish the game with a different formation? Walking to the ground today you could sense how edgy their fans were, and it was clear towards the end of the game that when we attacked them we could rattle them. But instead of doing that from the start we set up with a system that invariably produces slow, passive football and allowed them to take a real grip on the game. Big point in the end today but one we gained in spite of Schumacher’s tactics, not because of them.

I said before the game today that I would happily donate a minor limb for a draw.
Well, we got one somehow, so I'm not going to be to sniffy about it!

Hopefully they bin off that awful montage before the teams come out. Nothing kills an atmosphere like listening to funeral music whilst being reminded how shit we’ve become.

No fucking about every man and his dog need to be there!! My dog doesn't like football. And if she did come with me she would probably run onto the pitch for a piss.

They were there today, loud and proud and we were dished up that negative, cowardly bullshit as a thank you... Couldn’t disagree with you more mate. Today was all about not losing. Team selection and tactics were all about winning that point and keeping the same distance between us and Wednesday.

But instead of doing that from the start we set up with a system that invariably produces slow, passive football and allowed them to take a real grip on the game. Big point in the end today but one we gained in spite of Schumacher’s tactics, not because of them. Can relate to what you are saying. But then again, we aren’t in the changing rooms seeing which players have the guts for a match like that one, the mental strength to follow through what is required on the day and the ability to play their best game under pressure. Sure, we pick a team to attack on paper / Championship Manager it could work but being from a working class city, as are we, you must be able to relate to playing back in the day … those big games where some caved. I’m not Shueys no1 fan but we got a point out of a game many expected us to lose and the way things have been this season, it’s a change to see us not collapse again under pressure. Whether shuey is the man for next season wherever we end up is a different story. He has made mistakes but then again he has inherited dross with some gutless inept professional footballers not caring about the club or the managers tactics. We’ll see I suppose.
