Gayle, Wes, Campbell & Clark all off the wage bill and all reported high earners.
Our net spend last summer wasn't massive given what we got in for Brown & Tymon.
There will definitely be money to spend.

It's been mentioned that the last of the COVID years drop out of the three year cycle, but not sure on that one.
Maybe that will give us a bit more leeway?
I'd be looking more closely at the League One SCMP rules if I were you...

If that was the case in league's 1 and 2 owners can make donations to the club without falling foul of the SCMP also I think we'd still generate a good income and it's percentages on salaries I think. |

Think Simon Jordan was on about it yesterday regarding Birmingham. He was saying it’s not much different between championship and league 1 about 4m in income

There is a list a mile long of players Prem clubs will look at before him. Half that valuation easily if sold this summer, which won't happen. |

I would, but I doubt Burger's value has changed much from the £4m we paid for him. |

Burger will be a high value player in time either for us or some where else in his career. Hes worth more than what we paid but not massively so far maybe 6/7. If we stay up and he plays amazing next year the value will rocket up.

That is correct. 2021-22 was the last albeit Stoke or nobody should fail anyway because clubs who lose between X and Y in 3 years have to submit the next 2 years forecast to the EFL by March 31st in order to demonstrate that they will comply and if required work with the League to avoid failing either the next year or year after that. That isn't to say that clubs have a free hand, but wouldn't be unduly restricted either unless they decided to disregard matters. PL has the +2 Years mechanism but they seem to lack the future monitoring aspect so clubs basically have a freeish hand until December, then Accounts go in and they're over charges in mid January. |

They can, but an issue is that excess owner contribution as the Rules are presently constructed is possibly adjusted out when back in the Championship for P&S purposes and judged on the £39m (plus Allowables) again. A club could rack up £50m losses in League One with a huge owner donation or similar, but would suddenly have to swing right back in line if they go back up making such a loss. |
