Still fuming, absolutely dreadful performance!! But… one thing Schuey is right about, we can’t get too down when we’re shit just like after Hull, Preston, the WBA come back we can’t get carried away. I can’t see us losing the final 4 games now til the end of the season. There will be at least one decent result in there so we’ll just about be ok. I hope….

This game on Saturday is bigger than anything in the last 20 years in my opinion. For the potential negative impact on SCFC for years to come it is huge. Lose this one and the margin for error is zero in the last 3 games. Have our players got the bottle ?

We can only hope that we get an out of nowhere win and performance like we did against Hull after the shit show against Norwich. Because that was as bad as it gets.
Think it needs one of Schumacher's tombola selections that enrages everyone before kick off then unexpectedly produces a good performance.

Bigger than the game that saw us promoted to the premier league, or the FA cup final, or the game that saw us relegated. Not for me, not even close, it’s not even season defining as we can still survive even if we lose this weekend god forbid. For me it is just a regular championship game between two awful sides who are both at risk of relegation.

That team, last night, are capable of absolutely fuck all,but I did think that after Norwich too. Life, and all its foibles, is too fucking hard as it is without this absolute head fuck of a football team making things even more difficult.

We are a team with some reasonably decent footballers but absolutely no heart, character or desire. Summed up by having Josh Laurent as captain.
I don’t think they go out not to try it’s just not in their make up to battle and grind out results. It was clear after ten minutes who would win last night.
This is backed up by an inexperienced manager whose team selections are akin to pinning the tail on the donkey.
If we stay up and I think we may just scrape it there has to be massive changes and that includes the manager and most of the players in my opinion. Keep them and expect more of the same

Yes before the match (which babysitting duties prevented me from watching so perhaps I'm not as frustrated as those who did watch and certainly those who travelled to Swansea) everyone seemed to be saying how happy they were with the team. I had my doubts about Ennis and would have gone Campbell but I don't think it would have made a lot of difference but I just think if you're going to try quick one touch passes like we did on Saturday your centre forward needs to be able to do that as well as your creative play. When I started to watch my recording and saw the weather I thought Thompson should have started instead of Bae and Haks or Leris instead of Vidigal. What I can't believe though is how many people are what a terrible team Schumachermuch easier in hindsight isn't it?

Thought this thread was about the players (Manhoeff aside) on the pitch last night, they certainly didn't seem awake. I bet they didn't lose any sleep over it though.

Awful performance and result but after Norwich we were fine and bounced back .
It happens in this division
Not like we're playing like that every week

Got back at the house at just before 3 from the coaches. Not a great performance, however the ref still has to figure into some of this. It was a goal and a free kick not a penalty. It's massive decisions and the game would have still been 1-1. Our "1" gives us a massive lift and would have dented Swans' confidence. Who knows what would have happened. They are shocking decisions from the ref, it's clear it's outside the box and it's clear the keeper throws the ball against our player. You can play them back a 1000 times, it is clear.
It's a poor performance as our players didn't really get going at-all and in the second 1/2 there was no more than a couple of shots on target - that's dreadful.
Onwards to Wednesday I suppose. Hmm.

What's left of our forward options,I can't honestly see where our next goal is going to come from, and our poor defence just keeps on giving,so it's going to be a minor miracle for us to survive,I have never seen such a poor set of mediocre players,as what we have at the moment.

I don't think we learnt anything last night that we didn't already know. When we play well we are capable of getting results against anyone in this league however we have too many occasions when we just don't turn up. At no point this season have I thought that we will be relegated and I still think we will stay up, however in the longer term we simply have to find a way of being more consistent if we ever want to achieve anything.

After the 4-1 away win at Coventry we were high, dry and safe on 51 points. Most of that squad were either loanees or out of contract in a few weeks, so they fucked off down the beach possibly having taken their bonuses for reaching 50 points. Thing is, with 7 games left, a decent top 10 finish was achievable but they didn’t just bottle it they couldn’t be arsed in my opinion. Ironically had they lost every one of those 7 final games they would easily have avoided relegation because on 45 points was needed last season.

The problem is we have so many players unlikely to be here next season I doubt they give a flying fuck if we got relegated.
Personal pride maybe ?
Not a prayer !
I still think Wednesday and Plymouth, player for player will just want it more than our lot.

The one thing that hasn’t had much of a mention was the weather.
Of course it was the same for both sides but they seemed to cope with it better than us. During the first half the ball was getting stuck frequantly.
