I refuse to take biscuit advice off a man advocating Garibaldi’s. We haven’t even brought up Girl Scout Cookies yet. Girl Scout Cookies? Have we switched to strains of cannabis? 😉

Are we still talking about biscuits, or is that a euphemism for the state of a cyclist's arsehole after a day in the saddle?

When you get Celiaki (gluten intolerance) it's another world and not much to choose from in the biscuit department ...
However, I've found the McVities Hob Nobs w chocolate to be really good.
Otherwise I'm more of a cake man, I like the punsch rolls (don't remember the brand).

I used to like the choc biscuits in the shapes of animals.
Can’t beat a chocolate digestive. Also like custard cream.

Dark chocolate Hob Nobs. If you are offered milk chocolate instead it’s like shagging your wife but really wishing it was her sister. A passable variety, but not as good as your actual preference. In case my wife is reading this, it’s obviously a joke, as I have already slept with your sister.

So, as the grotty little ‘British’ section in local supermarkets has been brought up it is, cross threadedly, usually a haven for biscuit treats and peculiarities. Yesterday I was in my local Harris-Teeter and can report thus. The aforementioned Tim Tams. Never done the straw thing. Don’t mind them. Bit like a Penguin really. Lot of McVities, mostly the choc varieties, hobnobs and digestives. The wife will spring for a Kit Kat for me, especially the odd flavour limited editions, every now and again. Mocha was good, Mint was, well…..mint. American KitKats are kind of soggy compared with what I remember in Blighty. The first Mother-in-Law would religiously smuggle Tunnocks Teacakes into the country for me. Growing up it was broken biscuits from the bloke on Northwich market. Malted Milk, but they did one with Caramac on one side. Dad always had to have his Bourbons which, I feel, may be one of the best dunkers out there. Bugger, now I want a Jaffa Cake. Here in the 'Nati in Kroger etc there is a piss poor British section. But, and it's a big but, we have 'Jungle Jims'. A grocery store that is a normal grocery store.. but also has large sections from 30 - 40 countries of the world. The 'British' section gets visited every month or 2. It's obviously pricey but always pick up some goodies. Went just after xmas and they had the Christmas Mcvities biscuit box on sale. Reduced from $12 to $3. We took the last 3. Been a while since I've had bourbons, malted milk, jammy dodgers etc. All went down very well with my morning cuppa. A confession though. We used to buy our chocolate from the British section but the demand must have been high for Dairy milk so prices went up. We now go to the German section for several bars of Milka. 1/2 the price of Dairy Milk and just as good! They also have a bar so you can walk around the store with a beer in your hand.

M&S cookies all varieties and half choc coated Fox's. That's about it. In fact if they bulldozed the kebab house in Tywyn and the junk shop next door to make way for one of those mini M&S jobs I'd be happy.

Galaxy chocolate digestives for me. Rich tea by far the worst, like chewing on Gandhi's flip flop.
