I used to be addicted to biscuits when I was young but hardly ever bother now. I did splash out on a box of choco liebnitz at the weekend when my mum visited and have to say they were delicious. Favourites and most hated. Discuss…..

Favourites and most hated. Discuss….. Any thoughts on why Australian Tim Tams seem to be so highly overrated? I've got friends that swear by them saying you bite opposite corners off of and then suck coffee up through them like a straw. Why the hell would I do that?

Fucking love biscuits. Used to demolish a pack with a brew a few years ago, dunking was just a great experience.
Fox’s Crunch Creams Chocolote Hobnobs Ginger nuts Bourbons Choco Liebniz (There’s also some posher, more buttery French biscuit knocking about that’s like a Choco Liebniz with bigger tits) M&S chocolate biscuit box (especially the round ones with a hole in the middle)

Bourbon creams and custard creams? Terrible. Used to have ginger nuts and spread vanilla ice cream on I like the cheap taste of bourbons. Custard creams not so much but M&S do one that's covered in about an inch of chocolate, which is a winner.

Maryland Cookies and those Fox's ones covered in chock.
Hated those pink ones from the seventies like ice cream wafers.
In fact after being brought up on Lewis' broken biscuit counter anything whole is considered luxurious in our house.

So, as the grotty little ‘British’ section in local supermarkets has been brought up it is, cross threadedly, usually a haven for biscuit treats and peculiarities.
Yesterday I was in my local Harris-Teeter and can report thus.
The aforementioned Tim Tams. Never done the straw thing. Don’t mind them. Bit like a Penguin really. Lot of McVities, mostly the choc varieties, hobnobs and digestives.
The wife will spring for a Kit Kat for me, especially the odd flavour limited editions, every now and again. Mocha was good, Mint was, well…..mint. American KitKats are kind of soggy compared with what I remember in Blighty.
The first Mother-in-Law would religiously smuggle Tunnocks Teacakes into the country for me.
Growing up it was broken biscuits from the bloke on Northwich market. Malted Milk, but they did one with Caramac on one side. Dad always had to have his Bourbons which, I feel, may be one of the best dunkers out there.
Bugger, now I want a Jaffa Cake.

Rich Tea Nice Border Oat Crumbles Don’t really like “Nice” biscuits. I was working away once and the night before I went my ex mrs asked if I wanted anything to take with me from shopping. I said yeh get me a couple of packs of nice biscuits you know the kind I like. She came back with 4 packs of “Nice”. We didn’t last much longer tbh.

I can go through a packet of chocolate Hob Nobs in a night. You've not truly felt shame until you've found a sunken layer of congealed nob at the bottom of a greedily dunked brew.

Good: Custard Creams
Bad: the French/Breton Galette
Ugly: Digestives without chocolate (like having a wank on your wedding night)
Overrated: Border Cookies
