The Championship nominations for the EFL awards
Manager of the Season:
🇬🇧 Kieran McKenna 🏴 Liam Rosenior 🇩🇪 Daniel Farke
Player of the Season:
🏴 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall 🇳🇱 Crysencio Summerville 🇮🇪 Sammie Szmodics
Young Player of the Season:
🏴 Archie Gray 🏴 Jon Rowe 🏴 Jordan James
Obviously, Kieran McKenna wins manager of the year. A simply sensational season for ITFC, even if they don't go up automatically. Great football that has got it's just deserves. On the verge of the Premier League after being promoted from League One last year and with a squad of players who are individually quite average. Liam Rosenior, for all that I like him and the way his side play, surely other candidates should be ahead of him - Mark Robbins at Col after losing their best 2 players and the lad at Sheffield Wednesday even off the top of my head. For me, Summerville is the best player in this league. Szmodics top scorer obviously and Dewsbury-Hall is a top player who should be in the Premier League but Summerville is so exciting to watch and scores and assists. Given Tyrese Campbell hasn't been nominated, I'd go with Summerville. Archie Gray will probably get the young player of the year, but I think Rowe at Norwich has had an outstanding breakthrough season. Gary is quality and will have a superb career but I find him completely meh at RB, other than the fact he is so young. Would loved to have seen more of him playing CM.

Rosenior is box ticking, he’s spent loads of money and the fans don’t like him.

Agree with most but ain't necessarily so with Summerville I really like him. From what I saw last season, he was more than good enough to play Premier League football. I was surprised it was that camel Willie Gnonto attracting attention and rumours of massive fees rather than Summerville. Only 21/22 as well. Who would you have ahead of him? One of the other two, or someone not nominated.

At that price, no I wouldn't. Would you?

Another who really should have been playing at a higher level this year, but is a Leicester fan and from a family of big Leicester fans, so wanted to stay and fire them back to the Premier League. No doubt he'll be off in summer to help balance their books! He has been superb, especially in that first half of the season.

Going back to your original point…I also think Summerville is far better than Gnonto…Summerville would be just behind Szmodics just for the fact he’s produced unbelievable numbers for a struggling side mate. That’s just my take but Summerville has been very impressive 🔴⚪️

That’s just my take but Summerville has been very impressive 🔴⚪️ To be honest, I've not see a lot of Szmodics/Blackburn. Undoubtably he's done good numbers. Were they up there early part of the season? I'm sure last season they were top after a few months then fell away. From what I have seen, mostly first half of the season, they play some good stuff but they're gung ho in attack and leave themselves exposed at the back. Adam Wharton a big loss for them in January. Very good player.

Szmodics the best player at ours this season for my money. His work rate and movement was different grade.
