Best acts IMO were Jimmy Cliffe, Eddy Grant, MGMT and the Zutons

I'd go for Crowded House. Thought they were outstanding, and even though im not keen on them, i thought The Verve were pretty good. Pretty impressed with Vampire Weekend too.

Interesting little fact for you boyos.
Spoken to a mate of mine down there, who said that he's listened to the bollocks surrounding Jay-Z and cannot believe the lying that is going on. He reckons at least half the audience walked off when Jay-Z was on, and that by the end there was barely 30,000 there watching. he was, by his account anyway, hardly a runaway success.
Plus, really, Jay-Z or Massive Attack (who were on the other stage at the same time)? It's a no-fucking-brainer really.

No, and that soothing balm didn't help either.
It had tabasco in it. Bastard.

just got back, was an amazing festival. It's my first time there, made me wonder how anyone can even call V a festival. Jay-Z pulled one of the biggest crowds of the weekend, no-one I could see walked away, and he played an incredible set (everyone I talked to loved him, with almost none being hip-hop fans in general) The Verve were amazing, Leonard Cohen also a massive highlight as the sun was setting. Very much enjoyed myself
