The other day I had to check my calendar while watching the news. I had to see if it was the 1st of April, Fool's Day, but not, it was 10 days before that.
A russian lady who spoke Swedish or English, I don't really remember since the message was so absurd, said we have to recycle our shit and shit water to be able to eat it again. It contains a lot of nutrition, she said. I kind of could imagine her having turds as a Friday snack. She looked filthy.
They have built a family household house already in the southern parts of Sweden, it might have been in Helsingborg I'm not sure, who already use that recycling system as a test. It looked to be a big house from the pics, 50 households perhaps?
I don't believe in this at all. When will it stop? Is Greta behind this, or Russia? Is the purpose to get us all sick or to see how far "they" can go? Wanna see if we pass the Idiot test? It doesn't matter how much you clean it. I don't want to have it. Not even if the label on a bottle in the grocery shop in five years from now says: " This is the shit! It's good for you."

It's what happens anyway. Sewage gets cleaned up and pumped back into the sea and the rivers and gets recycled back into the water and food system. It sounds like this woman is just short circuiting what happens at the moment. If we ever start colonising the solar system that's pretty much how people will get it to work.

How about fish shit musik? Would you be happy with that? Aquaponics could be the future, you may already be eating it and not know π Think I'd rather have my food fertilised by shit than chemicals personally π en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquaponics

Not really any big deal is it?
If you live in a rural area and run off a septic tank local farmers will often empty it and chances are it's contents will go straight over their crops.
There are also a number of 'eco' camp sites popping up across the country who tell you not to put any foreign matter down their khazis for the very reason that your morning contemplation has an onward journey for a greater good.
Just remember to always wash your lettuce thoroughly Madam.

It sounds like this woman is just short circuiting what happens at the moment. If we ever start colonising the solar system that's pretty much how people will get it to work. She actually spoke about the current system as well as a comparison, I'll give her that, but then she said too much of the shit is wasted. She was against what you described here in the first three sentences. That's the point. Why having the water going into the sea a long distance and then back. She wanted as much of the shit as possible. She said it was very nutritious. Today it's a mad waste. It might come as pills in the end, labeled "Poolicious" or "Clean shit"?

Thought you would have preferred hydroponics Ely π or is it the same thing Anyway back to eating shit π I think most weed, including medicinal, is grown hydroponically nowadays, having had organic in the past, I'm of the opinion that, similar to organic wine, there is a difference in quality π I think Aquaponics has the potential to provide similar (or better) harvest to hydro without a loss of that product quality, which could be important medicinally.

But my first question was when I saw it ... Why had the stomach got rid of it in the first place if it was so flaming nutritious? All having Celiac's disease?
When they have started to go through the poo for nutrition, the explosive population growth and the climate crisis precautions have gone to panic mode!

Human waste fertiliser is commonly used by farmers and it's use is increasing due to the high cost of chemical fertiliser. But werrit ye not because harmful chemicals are removed before use. Around 3.5million tonnes of biosolid fertiliser was used in 2022 and this is increasing significantly. The only downside is the smell after itβs been spread which can last from s few hours to several days.

I remember doing a survey at a sewage plant and was getting the guided tour - absolutely fucking stunk and it hung to me so much the car reeked for weeks after.
Remember asking a really stupid question 'Why are there tomatoes growing in that bend?'
Obviously tomato seeds are difficult to digest and grew in the sludgy waste that gathered in slow moving sections of the tributary. Completely edible apparently but didn't pry into how the fuck he knew!!

When they have started to go through the poo for nutrition, the explosive population growth and the climate crisis precautions have gone to panic mode! Your stomach isn't that efficient at extracting all the nutrients from food - there could well be some good stuff still in there. Animals like cows have several stomachs to extract as much as they can from their food for that reason. I don't think we are at that point in terms of global population and food supply to make this a pressing solution but a combination of over population and global warming could push this into the mainstream. As mentioned previously this is probably going to be a feature of food supply in any off earth colonies of the future.
