Just looked at the fixtures for this weekend and BBC listing us and Vale both at home? I was under the impression this was avoided at all costs as four sets of fans in one town was a recipe for a bit of mither? Perhaps its a sign that all four teams are at a low ebb and the police aren't worried?

Smaller crowds nowadays, not such a big issue anymore.

It has you’re right mate but it’s still a fairly rare occurrence. Dictated to by the police I would imagine. They wouldn’t allow us v Sheffield Wednesday and Vale v Derby to take place on the same day for example.

Knype Vics are also at home.
They get bigger crowds than Vale.
It's a non-issue these days.

Anyone remember early 80s when all 3 local sides played at-home same day but different times ? I think Stoke k.o. 11.00ish, Vale in the afternoon and Crewe at night. I heard about some hardy souls who went to all 3 games.

What we don’t see enough of these days, are Vale threads. Come on people, let’s really get behind starting a new post every day about Port fucking Vale.

No we still exist (are u14s though lol) No senior side sadly but a huge kids section (Knype Knights) exists there now with lots of teams I'm working with the council on pitch improvements on behalf of the 3 clubs in town, we have 55 junior teams (boys, girls and mixed) currently, its gone bonkers!

I do remember a mid-morning KO against them, with their fans singing that incredibly annoying 'one man went to mow' thing.
