It’s a shame we can’t do something with Sweet Caroline as that’s always a good one for getting crowds involved.
I’ve had a stab at a few below 😂
Hands touching hands, Reaching out, tackling me, tackling you
Wouter Burger His football’s never been so good I’ve been inclined To always believe that it would And now, I look at the team And it don’t seem so lonely Vale are going down to League two
Or something for Schumacher 🤔
Scouse, he’s a scouse He left Plymouth because they’re fucking shiiiiiite
Steve Schumacher Our football’s never been so good I’ve been inclined To always believe that it would And now, I look at the team And it don’t seem so lonely Vale are going down to League two

I think it’s for 3 main reasons, first it’s a catchy song that took off, Second very few decent new songs emerging (I like the Lola one though for Burger) and Third, while Kenwyne ‘s performances tailed off at the end of his stay here, for a large part of it he was magnificent and unplayable especially in the air. Sorry but I thought he was a bone idle layabout! He was unplayable about three times! I guess that’s your opinion. Don’t forget he scored the goal that meant we qualified for the knockout stage of Europa Cup and our amazing trip to Valencia, and the goal that effectively sealed our cup final place with a sublime finish. I at least will be grateful for that.

But definitely push the Kinks , Lola for WB as it’s easy, catchy and a great tune.

ok this is a real simple song/tune, I’LL WALK A { MILLION }MILES FOR ONE OF YOUR GOALS, MANHOEF. MANHOEF, OH OH OH, MANHOEF MANHOEF, MANHOEF MANHOEF, I’LL WALK A { MILLION }MILES FOR ONE OF YOUR GOALS. - - - - - - - - - - - just keep singing it to yourself over and over, I’m going to bed now, and can’t get it out of my head, its fcukg genius, its definitely an upgrade from go on stoke, go on stoke, or when the reds go marching fcukg on, its tedious, outdated, and sung by every fcukg club, wearing red. Is this to the tune of the Proclaimers? It's an old tune called Mammy by Al Jolson, that goes "Oh Mammy, Mammy, I'd walk a million miles for one of your smiles, oh Mammy". We used to sing it for Geoff Salmons, just replacing Mammy with Sammy and smiles with goals.

What on earth makes ANYONE sing for Kenwyne Jones? I assume its nostalgia for the days when we had some vaguely original songs.

Anything to stop the "Stoke go down" song. I'd even sing something about Wesley to do that.

I know it's not really for me to say because I don't get to the match these days, being living away, but agree with everything you say there, some fresh new, or 'old' tunes would be a great thing Edit: and yes, songs about the players to give them encouragement!!

I think the club should advertise for the post of chant development,
4 positions. Paid in beer money and season tickets. At least four original songs per season or you’re gone.
Not even joking.

Ok maybe not stand on the stage then....but maybe you could mingle? wear a hoodie or something so they don't know you're 70? and just start singing it? I dunno, throw your beer up in the air maybe, then they might just get tricked into joining in! I hear you though mate, I'm 64 nearly, and I'm sure the singing used be way more creative back when I used go, from what i can gather
