It'll take us to 50 points and that's usually the magic number to stay up but it's very tight at the bottom. I'm the eternal optimist so I will say yes and we'll do it. I changed the title so it's more positive Gouranga.

I think yes if those three wins come against the teams around us

Ideally we can can win 3 of:
- Huddersfield - Swansea - Sheff Wednesday - Bristol City - Plymouth
And then hopefully some bonus points against:
- Norwich - Hull - Baggies - Southampton
We should be fine. The players just need to maintain the attitude and work ethic they've shown this week until the end of the season.

I hoped we get at least 1 point in the Leeds Preston Norwich run of games, but still thought we would get 12 without. So it was not the must win for me it was for others.. but is a massive bonus. Win

I still think we’ll finish 14th. 4 wins and a draw.

It should be as I think the teams around us have maybe had their peak of fluke results. Just avoiding banana skin/cock up defeats will go a long way to achieving staying up and I also think at some point our forwards have to come alive, even if it’s for two or three games. I really thought we were done for after Cardiff but we’ve given ourselves a good chance now at least.

It's never over till it's over. But yes today's result was a massive first step, of many we need to take to survive. It ain't over till it's over. Another SJW rally is necessary next Sat v Norwich to continue the fight back.

I’m not sure.
Will be very very tight.
A lot of the teams around us seem to have very favourable fixtures.

I’m not convinced 50 will be enough this year.
But we’ll get 55 so all good…..

Just winning today makes other teams think and panic more. Pressure builds on teams. Let’s see how they handle it

Edit: having said all that, it wouldn't be good for moral if we lost the next 2 games!

For obvious reasons, that Plymouth game will be tough.

Since we dropped into the bottom 3, it seems to have galvanised our players. Our games aren’t a kick about any longer, they are serious.
We must maintain this attitude and all will be well even if we continue to rely on OG and Crazy Fluke to score the necessary goals.

On current form, there is every chance we can get something out of Norwich, Hull and West Brom games, they are by no means banker defeats..All are very winnable with the same determination we have showed lately.

Hull actually aren't blowing anybody away. Grinding out results and 4 draws in their last 4 games.
I'd take a point just to keep up momentum as I can see us putting in a good performance against Norwich but losing the game.

It’d be interesting to go back and see the last time so many teams were massed about the 40 point mark at this stage of the season and what the survival points amount was. As already suggested it might be more like 52-53 to stay up. I’m sure there’s been similar scenarios at the bottom before but the situation seems so fluid at the moment with this many teams in danger.

Could do with Huddersfield losing today and Birmingham losing there game in hand in mid week.

Just had a quick look there and Blackburn got relegated on 51 pts in 2017. The other similar one looks like 2013, where both Wolves and Peterborough broke the 50 pts mark and got relegated

We need 10 more points. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a team currently mid table get sucked into it. A Swansea or even Sunderland.

Norwich are no great shakes away from home. Only won once since December 3rd. If we get at them we could get a good confidence booster before the international break

Think the change in attitude occurred after Blackburn all the games since have seen the right attitude even Cardiff away where despite not playing well we had enough chances to win It's definitely the scoring goals bit that concerns me most however that could improve (enough not loads but enough) if we can build confidence, as such a scoring draw next week would be OK

Always difficult to say isn't it - just got to keep applying ourselves the same way as we did yesterday and we'll be tough to beat.
Hopefully end the season well for a change and keep this momentum going.
Think all of our home games are winnable especially if the fans turn up as they did last game against Boro.

Fingers crossed we seem to be much more secure at the back last 3 games. Playing pretty well through the pitch as well. As somebody mentioned we just need to find some goalscoring form, last couple of seasons we’ve had mini periods when out of nothing we put 2/3 wins together and score 2/3 in a game. Let’s hope for something similar…
