I enjoyed the first episode last night covering the early years and featuring some interesting contributors. Certainly had a tough start throughout his early childhood.

Yes, those of us that did not go to Eton with fees paid by the EU do not realise just how difficult life can be.

Well I was thinking more of an eldest child losing his mother at the age of 10 to a mental asylum and a completely hands off father dumping him into the public school system and a divorce thrown in. Eton is the last place that I'd want a child of mine to go to but each to his own eh..... |

His mum actually seems like a really nice lady. Shame that she was beaten, nose broken and abandoned in middle of nowhere by the sorry excuse of a father he has. With some of the misogyny he used to print as a journalist and with police called to arguments at home with Carrie. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

If you enjoy a selection of people from right across the political spectrum putting the boot into Boris then it's compulsive viewing. A real insight into the man and his upbringing. It's fascinating from the point of view that there's never been a character like him in politics and he's getting analysed from every angle from the nanny onwards. |

M’learned friends the legal beagles have made sure that nothing about the current Mrs Johnson’s sometime dog walker can be published. But I am sure that her many years of loyal public service and her ancestry mean that she thoroughly deserved her ennoblement. |

It finished with someone stating that in political terms Boris is still young. I remember hearing a commentary on the radio a few weeks back where someone spouted the scenario where Sunak has a bad election result and is replaced as leader by someone who has a poor three years in opposition at which time the grass roots are clamouring for Boris before the next election against the uninspiring Keir Starmer  |
