Does anyone have any joy using their phone in the ground to access the internet for scores, in play bets etc?
I'm currently with Sky which uses the O2 network and as soon as I'm within half a mile of the ground I may as well be using a bar for soap to access the internet for what it's worth. It would be good to keep upto date with other results especially how things are at the moment.

I'm with EE and in the main don't have an issue.
The ½ Time period does get abit sketchy but put that down to almost 20k others doing likewise at that exact time. Still ok to fire off and receive general messages though.
But during the match if fancy a quick scan of results or current tables, don't have an issue getting pretty quick service.

My o2 coverage is very poor both in and around the ground (200m)

I’m with Smarty (which uses the 3 network) and have no problem checking scores etc before and during the match. As another posted said, can be abit harder at half time when everyone goes on their phone.

I am also with Sky/O2 close to no reception around or on the ground.

I'm with Vodafone and it's fine during the game, struggle at half time though but that's understandable.

My O2 just does not work at all in the ground but is usually ok on the west car park but not always.

I am with Tesco/O2. Rubbish at the stadium and not the best at most places around the UK. When i go to Scotland i might as well leave my phone in the drawer at home. Bloody useless network.

It's non-existent for me.
And bizarrely when I walk back to Campbell/London Road after the game I can't get back on the internet on my phone until I'm crossing the A500 bridge.....

Bet365 put blockers on the signal to try to stop people betting in play and reacting to on field events quicker than their traders.

Yeah O2 seems the worst one. I'm on Vodafone and it only struggles a bit at half time.

Off on a tangent but remember seeing the video someone posted of the last game at the Victoria. It genuinely looked like something from a bygone age and couldn't put my finger on it - then realised it was because every fucker in the video wasn't glued to a mobile. It was fascinating to look back how different it was even just a couple of decades back.

Mate, if you go back to the promotion season in 08, there's phone's in view obviously but nothing like there is today. The iPhone really did change everything.

I used to be with O2 and it was horrendous but I'm with Vodafone now and don't seen to have an issue at all. At half time it slows down a bit but I can still access stuff

O2 backed service for me and it's useless. I've given up checking anything, which sadly means I can focus on the football. It's also to do with the fact that a lot of content is now videos which requires bigger bandwidth than our set-ups currently have. I'm sure EE is very loverlee, but I'm not prepared to pay the silly amounts they are asking - plus the price hike every year. I can live without internet at the ground.

My Tesco/O2 has been non-existent until recently. However, I have been able to get connection (mostly, not 100%) for the last couple of games.

On Tesco which uses 02. Terrible service at ground in around the country in general. I will go back to EE or Vodafone next and stop my attempt at being a tight bugger.

O2 is awful around the ground in general I found it to be the weakest in a lot of places.
I moved over to Smarty which piggy backs off EE and can backup what others say, can check scores or whatever during match. Grinds at half time.
O2 just wouldn’t work until I left the car park and even then it wasn’t great.

On the other hand I wouldn’t touch EE with a barge pole their pricing is appalling.

Recently switched from O2 to EE, I did so because EE are the only ones with 5G in Chester where I work. I don't mind paying a bit more for something that actually works. A pleasant bonus to find its much better at the ground as well. There's two issues to consider, the signal strength is the visible one with bars showing on your phone, but that's only half of it, network capacity kicks in when you are anywhere busy like the bet365, and I find its the bigger issue nowadays. The problem is that everybody wants to watch videos and make video calls on wifi, but nobody wants a 30m mast in their back yard.

May shop around for a good deal. Somebody has told me to try talk mobile

O2 has always been a problem at the ground.
I changed to 3 a few years ago and now smarty (which is 3 but cheaper) and never looked back
