That’s very sad. I watched the show the other week on his treatment, and he was on Sunday Brunch a few weeks ago talking about how he had recovered and was clear??

Really sad news. He'd been ill for a while. Went to see one of their live shows once at the Viccy Hall. Always liked their TV stuff. Bought some manx kippers off them once at the bbc food festival in Brum. RIP Dave

Me and the missus really like the Hairy Bikers. They seemed to be a couple of mates who genuinely looked like they really enjoyed biking and cooking. Much more genuine and down to earth than some other celeb chefs.
I saw Dave on TV recently and he looked as though he was on the mend.
Sincere condolences to his family and to his best mate Si.
RIP

Very sad news, he looked very ill to me at times during the recent shows but never sounded it as he kept up a positive attitude throughout.
I'm not a fan of chefs and cooking shows but found their style an easy watch. Genial guys who were always engaging.
RIP Dave.

RIP Dave. Remember them going to Stoke and making bacon, cheese and oatcakes. The recipe is in the Hairy Bikers Tour of Britain book and Mrs has used it many times.

I actually saw him not that long ago (6 months maybe?) outside a cafe opposite Liverpool docks, I think they'd both being doing some filming.
He was painfully thin, and seemed to be really really struggling with his mobility but he was obviously keen to carry on working with his best mate which I can fully understand......

The obvious joy they took out of what they did made them seem far more genuine than the usual suspects in that field.
Genuinely gutted about this. Their live tour was something different to see, took my old dears who were big fans of theirs.
RIP Dave.

Sad news... remember when they were in the Duke in Burslem (before it became a shithole) strangely that place was taken on last November and is back up for sale again, the chap running it currently had the jolly potter in castle before that too

I was next door in the Bull's Head Monday - didn't notice the for sale sign. I'm not surprised to be honest mate.
