The stats don't lie, he let's more in than his expected xGa and is constantly in the lower echelons of the keepers in this league. PSxG (Post-shot expected goal)Bonham 20.5 (25th from 46) Travers 17.2 (29th from 46) Iversen 7.1 (38th from 46) PSxG +/- (Post-shot expected goals +/-)
Bonham +2.5 / +0.18 per 90 mins (4th from 46) Travers -0.8 / -0.06 per 90 mins (26th from 46) Iversen -2.9 / -0.48 per 90 mins (37th from 46) Crosses (successful claims)Iversen 8/65 crosses 12.3% (3rd from 46) Travers 13/174 crosses 7.5% (6th from 46) Bonham 16/239 crosses 6.7% (9th from 46) Passes (successful)Travers 91/260 passes 35% (10th from 46) Bonham 77/241 passes 32% (15th from 46) Iversen 19/65 passes 29.2% (25th from 46) Include the previous 2 seasons.

No, we dropped his and replaced him with Iversen this season. You pick players on current form not what happened in 2022. You include them if you want to...............

You include them if you want to............... To be fair the 25th ranked goalkeeper in a 24 team league deserves dropping. If his replacement has come in and done worse then it needs to be looked at but dropping Bonham wasn't the wrong decision.

Nice try but teams have used more than one keeper, his stats are mid-table for a team in the relegation zone (which is ultimately what he is an "average" Championship keeper). Not keeping Bonham and using the Iversen money to get a left back in was idiotic, Bonham was doing just fine..........

We needed a keeper because if Bonham was injured we were down to Simkin/Fielding/Blondy. Signing Cundle and Million instead of a left back was the big bollock dropped.

They should have used that money to get a proper striker through the door........

Look...every single club in the world wants to sign a left back , and also a proven 20 goal a season striker. But those two are commodities that there are very few of. I'm sure the Stoke recruiters tried to get one, but no one was selling ! The big bollock, if you wish, was selling Tymon and letting Fox leave until we had a bona fide replacement. Despite their faults they had done a job for us and could have continued till we were absolutely sure that what we now have is better. As for keepers we seem to have plenty of them at the club, at least five, maybe six, but we're extremely reluctant to play any of them, unlesss their name is Jack or Daniel. You have to ask WHY?

I'm sure that "fact" is just a smokescreen over saying that they failed in their endavours to sign one. Who admits to being failures in this line of business?

My issue is even if we had Buffon in his pomp this team would make him look less good than he was simply by how porous our defending as a team is.
That we're a professional outfit without a left back, and arguably a centre midfielder who can defend without just charging about kicking people, blows my mind!

Can someone explain to me why we couldn't buy Travers in January? He was on the bench for them this weekend again so I'm assuming they're still having GK injuries so would be unwilling to sell/loan
