In amongst the serious threads I thought I’d lighten up things.
So if you won the lottery and 2m quid. What would you spend your winnings on
*Car* Mini clubman convertible.
*Villa* Lanzarote (it’s not Beverly Hills but I love the old town)
*Home* Baswich. Used to live there and really liked it. Would love a home cinema, gym and man cave with pool table and DJ decks.
*Holidays* 6 week holiday coast to coast in the US Week in Japan
*Luxury Items* New moped. Season ticket for the 1863 suite. Some DJ decks Spending a 1k budget at soccer shirts on vintage footy shirts. Gym membership at David Lloyds.
*Charity* Alzheimers and Cancer research.

Car Merc GLC 300e ( anything bigger in the Uk is a struggle parking wise when out and about or at the Bet365)
*Villa Doesnt appeal
*Home* Wetley Rocks with purpose built garage for car & charging ( off the peg garages arnt big enough for modern cars ) Large kitchen and large bathroom ..helps with resale if location proved a mistake , or Formby , Victoria Rd
*Holidays* Round the world trip without flying , having researched it even with limitless money without missing Stoke games it’d need to be done in segments , Trans Pacific is the problem fitting in Stoke league and pre seasons games ..and would need to wait for Russia to behave unless money opened doors ( and visa applications ) via the riskier Iranian route 4 Weeks in Japan , 4 weeks Silk Road , plus see below for Air France
*Luxury Items* Specialized S works Turbo Levo ( E bike ) Season ticket for the 1863 suite.( already under consideration regardless ) Trip on Air France La Première ( preferably to São Paulo , Johannesburg or Singapore ) , the only airline , with first class that still does flying the old school way - a big bucket list item of mine
*Charity* Alzheimers and Heart research.

Car: maybe a Mach-E or the F-150 lightning. Villa: no. I’d buy a second house in Charlottesville and convert it into student living, then just rent it out. Home: I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I won’t be moving. Holidays: I’d take more, for sure. With a little one, they’d be mostly US bound though. Luxury: I’d pay for survivalist classes. I’d move to part-time work. I’d then probably just start taking part-time masters classes. Charities: I’d donate to the state school systems in Charlottesville and Crozet.
Overall, I wouldn’t want to change my life too drastically. I would still want to work, just not as much. I’d look to build on the deficiencies in my own self.
I would also accept it in chunks, as you get far more over the course of your life.
Edit: oh, I just saw that it’s a sum of ~$2 million. Half of it would likely be squandered on taxation anyways, so I’d just put the rest in A) a retirement plan and b) my kid’s college fund.

I'd move to California before the war comes. A simple apartment, 70 sqm.
In 2030 Scandinavia won't exist as we know it.

Car…a nice 5 series BMW
House…quite happy where I am…I’d have it decorated from top to bottom to a very high spec and have someone in to landscape my garden
Holidays…I’d never be at home lol…stuff the football I’d be pretty much always abroad somewhere warm….probably cruising…did my first cruise last year and loved it
Luxury…laser eye surgery because I hate wearing glasses and I’d make a big effort to lose some weight and get fitter
Charities…no thanks I will need my money for the family

It's nice to dream but i stopped doing the national lottery when they took the piss and doubled the ticked price. Postcode lottery only these days so win amount would be much smaller.
*Car* I wouldn't swap my current car as i can't think of anything I'd rather have, but i'd upgrade the campervan
*Villa* Western Algarve
*Home* Something that needs far less maintenance than current gaff. But i'd live in the villa all winter anyway.
*Holidays* Motorhome tour of italy, croatia, albania, greece etc.
*Luxury Items* Racehorse
*Charity* not sure which, but definitely one

*Car* Yaris GR for day to day. Probably just stick with the CLA for road trips, maybe go down the AMG route to annoy the environmentalists.
*Home/Villa* I'd up sticks to Vancouver/Victoria or somewhere on the American Pacific North West coast.
*Holidays* Probably NZ and Costa Rica/Colombia.
*Luxury Items* Decent golf club membership. A ridiculous number of gig tickets.
*Charity* RBL, Dogs Trust, Donkey Sanctuary.

Not sure really but I did always say should I ever get a big win I would lease a box at stoke and at vale and just give it too the folk at dougie Mac/Donna Louise for the relatives of those who were ill to have a day out on me basically and just escape and hopefully enjoy watching a game although given how we are both going this season I think it would be empty a lot
But car I dunno really probably an Audi r8
Villa in Dubai
House, would probably stay put I don’t really need much more than I have but no mortgage would be nice
Holiday, tick off the bucket list of derbys I want to see and maybe follow the f1 circus round the world for a season
Luxury item, I dunno really anything I want these days I just get and I’m pretty happy, finally start paying for sky properly perhaps?
Charity, covered that above

*Car* Audi, probs some top notch A5
*Villa* Not sure I'd bother, would rather a posh all inclusive and eat/drink/sun in a nice hotel
*Home* I like my house tbh, I'm not sure with £2m you would be able to go all in on a big house and still have money for the other hols/car stuff - would rather stay, do everything I wanted to it (extensions, garden, mancave / sports bar etc) and have money to retire with
£5m/£10m+ though and...
*Holidays* Might sound daft but I would have a nice (secluded) caravan by the sea or a holiday home in the UK, but I would be looking to watch some cricket in NZ, Aus, WIndies, Sri Lanka, South Africa. Not too fussed by India/Pakistan (both beautiful places) as too hot for me and a proper fussy eater!
Deffo be touring the world slowly and ticking them ofd
*Luxury Items* Probs stay in my seat in B20!
But a massive telly, top of range golf clubs, nice clothes.
*Charity* I would invest in my town, specifically facilities for youth - making the football pitches better etc
Bit boring but I'm a simple man with simple needs 😁

Was great but was exhausted when we got home and sick of airports. Air NZ did round the world tickets - choose your own stops and we booked extra internal ones in places like Indonesia-Bali USA- SF and Vegas- S Pacific - Tahiti and Fiji and a few more Would do again but take more time Ordering currency before we went was the biggest pain in the arse I did enjoy when the pilot announced we were crossing the International Date line and passengers got up to look out of the window. Not sure what they were expecting to see. A huge fitted line like on maps perhaps

*Car* Mustang. Would get one now tbh if I didn't already have a car.
*Villa* Not needed.
*Home* Stoke, so that I could get a season ticket and attend all the games.
*Holidays* Tour of Japan, China, a trip to the Amazon, somewhere to swim with Dolphins and Volcanos in Iceland
*Luxury Items* Adidas trackies Airfryer
*Charity* 2m isn't really enough considering family to provide for.

Think I'd buy a plot of land on one of the hills overlooking Belfast and then commission someone to build a 20 metre statue of me similar to the Jesus one in Rio and then erect it over the city.

Absolutely no interest in cars other than a means of transport
I'd not move house either
I'd retire and get out and about and travel loads, could get into watching international football, maybe some cricket
Might buy a barge, a posh one, I like how slow they are
