For anyone growing up in the 1970s there were four players with an outstanding individual talent but also a bit of a playboy reputation (maverick if you prefer. Stan was one of these alongside Alan Hudson, Tony Currie and Frank Worthington. R.I.P. Stan and thanks for the memories 😢 Spot on.

RIP, a great player, met him in a pub we called in in Dunstable I think, a load of us in a van on the way back from an away match in London.

He was a great player and would have done well under Waddo! Remember the Boothen giving him grief about his wife but he took it well and won them over!
