They can spend what they want at that level aslong as they finance it all. The rules are very different at that level, which is daft but there you go. The thought that they could just lash a load of money at it though just fills me with dread. I'm seeing Lee Johnson as manager and a load of washed up 30 year old has beens struggling to 10th place. 60% of turmover on wages is the limit though so headroom would be minimal without another clear put aka fire sale with no buyers The owners could increase our turnover at League One level to the same as it is now by injecting finances in. We could literally sign a Championship squad on Championship money. Take a closer look at Ipswich Town last season and beyond...

PC could spend £50m to try and get us promoted from Div 1,but we would still struggle to stay up,whilst he holds the reigns. He could fall in to a swimming pool full of tits and come out sucking his own thumb. It would just be one extra tit in the swimming pool.

Turnover includes owner contributions so the only constraint on spending is the need to comply with championship rules after promotion.

Would signing on bonus count towards wages? We could buy the best young hungry players around the league 1 with bigger singing on fees instead of budgeting with free transfers.

Looks like league 1 wouldn't be so bad for a reset, and a chance to pull together a few key signings in the spine of the team, for the coach to implement his style and approach and by the time we're back in the championship we are a far better team

There are bigger & better clubs than us who have struggled to get out of Div 1.
Throwing money at the problem hasnt worked since we came down, the way the club is run,we could be years in Div 1 or even worse.
