Take you mind off the misery being dished out at the Bet365.. give us your stand out riffs that knock you off your feet .. (1) you might need somebody / Randy Crawford ( Turley Richards) (2) goodbye to love / carpenters ( Tony Peluso) (3) Belfast child / simple minds (Charlie Birchall)

Not sure I'd class any Carpenters song as having a guitar riff 🙂 (even tho they did do some good stuff).

Peluso's is awesome, thought Lukather did you might meed somebody? Robertson on Still in love with you from Live and dangerous one of the best I've ever heard.

I think he means a sustained sound throughout a song mate, at least that’s what a riff means to me. This Charming Man by the Smiths is a good one

Layla - Derek & The Dominoes.
Not really a fan of them but November Rain by Gun's & Roses. Slash is great all the way through but especially majestic about 7 minutes into the song

Good shout.ironic how weak the original was and yet it takes on a life of it's own in concert.

Good shout.ironic how weak the original was and yet it takes on a life of it's own in concert. It's quality live. I should have seen maiden live far more often.

Megadeth - Holy Wars
The best ever...and it's not even close. Multiple riffs in one song. Insanely good.
