Carlos Bocanegra has joined Rennes following his release from Fulham. That's another possible target crossed off the list www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1765_3738526,00.html

I thought he'd have been a decent signing on a free providing he didn't want too big a signing on fee. Surprised he has gone to France - I thought he would have stayed in the UK.
Has McBride gone back to the US?

John, he hasn't joined anyone yet but this makes interesting reading: The Chicago Fire are just one of many MLS suitors said to be interested in McBride, but Toronto FC has the first chance to sign him to a contract because the Canadian club owns his allocation rights. However, if Toronto can't ink McBride to a deal, it could still trade him to another MLS team.
Toronto FC general manager Mo Johnston told reporters Thursday that while he is very interested in signing McBride, he also confirmed he's talking to other MLS teams to see what he could get in exchange for the former Fulham star.www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/story/2008/05/29/toronto-fc.html?ref=rss

Weird that a Canadian club owns the "allocation rights" to a US player just released by Fulham. I'll never understand the way the Yanks organise their sport!
