Was on a downward spiral with alcohol and drugs until he robbed angels of a bloke in Dublin that's what made him...if it wasn't for him going to Dublin on a bender he would have been finished

I thought Guy Chambers wrote that song and anything else he had success with? a geezer called ray apparently might be wrong only what I was told From wiki... "Angels" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams. It was included on Williams's debut solo album, Life thru a Lens (1997), and released as a single on 1 December 1997 by Chrysalis. "Angels" was written by Williams and Guy Chambers, based on an earlier song written by Ray Heffernan. Williams said he wrote "Angels" with Chambers about his aunt and uncle, while Heffernan said he wrote the first version in 1996 and finished it with Williams. Williams confirmed that he recorded a demo with Heffernan but said he rewrote the song significantly with Chambers. To avoid a lawsuit, Williams bought the song rights from Heffernan before it was released. Vaughan Arnell directed its music video, which was shot in black and white.

There's not a one size fits all template out there. Robbie wrote Something Stupid (see above) after a night out with Frank Sinatra and the local mafia.

Fair play to him, not everyone’s cup of tea musically, certainly not mine (he’s not a patch on Lieutenant Pigeon) but he’s pretty much made the absolute most of himself and worked very hard at it. An example some of the young uns could learn a thing or two about. Apart from alcoholism and drug addiction of course but that can hit the best of us😉

That song had been well and truly written in 1966 before Robbie was even born!

You want to see the companies he employs when hes on tour..... We went to see him in the Johan Cruyff Arena during Take the Crown tour a few years ago and after went down underneath the stadium where the trucks and lighting rigs get put away....... Fleets of trucks from a hauliers in Biddulph were there, light and sound company from Stafford, catering trucks from Leek and The Moorlands, and loads of vans from a hire company somewhere in Tean..... tons and tons of equipment there was. Good on him I say.......

He’s proud of his/our city and bigs it up on every occasion …..that’ll do for me Happy birthday Robbie lad He was a top lad at school, liked by almost everyone. Haven't seen/spoke to him since my 20's, randomly my last conversation with him was at the TSB cashpoint in Tunstall Square and he was with the bird from All Saints at the time. She was looking over at the Sneyd Arms and the Wright's Pie shop with a face like she'd sniffed a turd.........
