All people bang on about is boring binary football and parking the bus… But Pulisball was an absolute joy to watch when it worked during the Ric / Etherington / Pennant period. Only ever bettered by Hughes ‘Stokalona’ period. Under Pulis we had the ability to beat any team, especially at home. We didn't piss about with possession stats but we still created a few chances throughout a game. A Pulis team could decide who won the league, we weren't an easy team to beat, we turned over many a good team under Pulis. We boring for 90% of the time though but at least we had highs, nowadays there's very little to be happy about. Lol, OK.

I'd would love to ask him why he played a weakened team in Valencia, that was the beginning of the end for him in my eyes. I lost all respect for him after that. It might of been a weakened team but Kenwyne had 2 glorious chances that could of seen us 2 up before they scored. We don't Pulis back we need a DOF who has the same philosophy of the manager it's that simple. It's not that simple. Pulis could come in as a part time officer, working on re establishing the infrastructure, setting up training camps, be a physical trainer or anything else along those lines. He must not come anywhere near the team selection or recruitment, unless specifically asked to. He answers to the DOF. The DOF, anybody not Pulis, would not have anything to do with training or team selection, but would work on contracts, and working with the CS on recruitment POLICY. The CS works with the strategies in the recruitment policies and finds the players that fit that. He has a network of countless scouts, some who work for scfc solely, some who don't. They don't approach any senior player without having a word with the HC. The head coach, SS, would have nothing to do with contracts, infrastructure, setting up camps, and the tea ladies. He'd be left alone to oversee training with his various personal assistants and with or without them as consultants be solely responsible for selection. He would meet on a regular basis with the CS and DOF on recruitment, and be available for calls/short meetings with them during the windows. He can use the PTO as a sounding board, but he doesn't have to. The Press Secretary would host pressers and would answer anything not team selection related, but can answer question on player fitness . He'd pass team selection questions on the head coach, whether present or not. If not a thorugh statement would be made. All of the above would meet for a weekly lunch with the three board members, not to make decisions but to keeep everyone up to date with what's doing.

In our first season after promotion, we took 4 points off Liverpool which was the crucial gap that robbed them of the title. Nothing to do with the other matches they lost or drew? Boro, Wigan, Fulham ? They drew 11 games that season, 7 at home. That's what robbed them of the title. We never beat a top side away from home, in fact we regularly got our arses handed to us. We were very easy to beat at times.

Wasn’t it Gerrard who bemoaned the points they lost to Stoke?

Did he say anything interesting? Did he say anything of note? When he was at sheffield wednesday he said he lost the spark for the job. Said he loves doing whatever he wants now. Even did some work on the rugby, he loves rugby. Said the coates are amazing people who love the club and have chucked millions at it, we need them. Jason puncheon was on just before him stating he loves TP and that he has took some of TPs work ethics/manager styles into his managment game. Spoke highly of him. He was a top man Tony Pulis and alot of peolpe have respect for him. Fair play.

HITC understands that Schumacher – who was only appointed in December – is on the brink of losing his job at the Bet365 Stadium. Stoke’s owner the Coates Family have a long-standing relationship with Pulis following his ten years at the club – over two different spells. However, HITC understands that Pulis is not ready to consider coming out of retirement at this stage.

TP and Inchy Heath, WTF, I can not see JC entertaining either. Why would TP risk his, never having been relegated reputation, on this squad. There is no way he would see enough of the types he demands in his squads..If any shred of truth in this, I am stunned.

I genuinely wouldn't be against TP returning because at this time I'd employ the Devil with Vlad the Impaler as assistant if it meant avoiding relegation. There is no option if we lose to Boro SS will be gone and deservedly so so yes to TP or even Inchy both would get my support I'll be sending my own CV in too.
