then they are going to have to start thinking about a leadership challenge. After last nights humilation in Henley and one year into his tenure Brown is now Cameron's best weapon for the next election.David Cameron has even instructed his party not to single out Brown as he knows with him at the helm the Tories will win the next election.Even staunch labour voters are turning against them as they don't want Brown. They see him as un-electable at the next election. The man is a buffoon. Brown out.

I agree, however the alternatives are not exactly inspiring.
What does Cameron stand for (apart from bandwagon-ism)?

Labour have fucked up big time so even Mickey Mouse would be a credible alternative

You may well be right, but to say "last nights humilation in Henley" is surely a bit OTT given that a dead donkey could stand in Henley with a blue rosette on and romp home as the MP. EDIT - Wrote the above before having seen the actual result; hadn't realised they'd come 5th behind the Greens ( and the BNP ( ), and that they'd lost their deposit. Apologies. Apologies also to any dead donkeys .

Quite frankly, they're all pretty useless - we should get the bnp or green party in for 4 years of amusement though, they couldn't be anymore clueless than the current bunch vying for control, might accidentally do a good job though - we do need something to change the dross that runs our country, we have too many people too obsessed with trying to carve out their own legacy in politics than actually interested in running the country, its for people with even less talent than 90% of celebrities trying to get famous.

To blaim Labour malaise entirely on Brown is a bit short sighted. A war mongering Tory by the name of Tony Blair contributed to the current levels of hatred of a once great party.
