Can we finally appreciate how good he was for us given the circumstances? He certainly has a bad rep for bizarre reasons. I would be happy to have his steady hand in charge right now.

I was just thinking about that man.
The only competent manager we've had down here.
Spent seasons turning this club around. Rooted out the horrors of the Hughes, Rowett and Jones managerships and built a reliable team.
Would he come back?

I’ve said it all along about him, level headed, calm, respectful and he dealt with a lot here.

He did ok with what he inherited but failed miserably to build a reliable team over time. We were shite towards the end of his tenure.

The one decent manager we’ve had since we came down. Schumacher is a hybrid of Kamara and Jones. So bloody naive

We were a bloody good team before Souttar and Powell got injured. And Campbell. He was right up there for goals and assists in the season he fucked his knee. All from a wide position as some people forget. Shame he's been largely shite since.

Had half a season when he joined where we put teams to the sword, shit himself and reverted to defensive shite after we conceded a few one game.

Rooted out the horrors of the Hughes, Rowett and Jones managerships and built a reliable team. Would he come back? Easily the best manager we've had for a number of years. Yes, it all went rather stale towards the end, but he performed miracles here, keeping us up, reducing the wage bill and doing more than any manager we've had in the modern era to promote youngsters. Also unlucky to have to suffer the injury crisis that robbed us of a team that could have competed for the play-offs. Class act as a man too.

After keeping us up he was awful, didn't have a clue about recruiting for they system he wanted and wasted money on players that were never going to work, he was as bad as the rest of them.

Some of his signings were rogue but some of them were just before their time.
Sima, Matondo, Jack Clarke, Norrington-Davies, Doughty, Jacob Brown.
All of those better than anything we've signed this season bar Burger. Some of that list were signed a bit too early in their development or injury rehab curve.
All of those were against the backdrop of visibly reducing the FFP deficit and blooding kids to sell on for huge profits.
Some of the signings like Flint and Gayle were just plain gash.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind that his recruitment was and would have been far better this summer than what we've ended up with.

Certainly steadied us from the moment he arrived when we were in a similar position to now
Had the worst injury list have ever seen here to deal with as well

Never wanted him gone. Managed on absolute pennies and brought through younger players.
We have pretty much undone all the groundwork he laid for us getting through FFP without going down.

He was excellent. He mostly stopped the rot. However, he needed to leave at the end of the season before and shouldn’t have been given the summer.

The very least you could say about MoN is that he took a fair bit longer to unravel than everyone else we've had in the past 6 years.
He definitely had an 'only adult in the room' quality about him.

He did a good job but it could have been better. Why did we have Collins full back and Chester stinking the place out at centre back.
