Went a few times with the "Cubs" and Scouts in early 60's. A beautiful part of the world and rumored to be part of the inspiration for "Lord of the Rings".Dont know any of the bands but love a good festival.

Kibblestone in 1963 ,great piece of local history, a 24 min video ,from the Porthill scouts. Were you there Old Stokie?? I was there three years after that for the cub scout's golden jubilee celebrations. All I can remember was being expected to eat food covered in flies and being pushed into the icy waters of the unheated outdoor pool by pervy scout leaders. My balls must have taken weeks to appear again

Well I was asking Pretzel but since you ask mate…… Yes Im familiar with a few of the names advertised so far.it looks as though the good people who run the much larger and highly recommended localish festival Bearded Theory are either running this or helping out. beardedtheory.co.uk/The acts so far are a mix of The Pogues/Levellers style (celtic agressive rock),indie groups, ska and dub/dance.There are also a few DJs I know dance/trance who are playing. A few of the groups have played Glasonbury along with other major fesivals On the site there seems to be loads of activities going on which you can have a go at.I fancy a bit of Axe throwing for a laugh, what could go wrong.

My balls must have taken weeks to appear again What you thinking about this festival mate? Anyone in the line up you’re familiar with? There are no names here that I'm instantly familiar with but a quick look at some of the names on Youtube tells me there are some quality acts on and plenty of variety. Being an old fart, the DJ sets wouldn't be of interest to me but they will be a great addition for the young uns. I'd never thought of Kib being used for something like this, it should be an amazing location.. is this a first time I wonder? I hope it's successful as we need more things like this happening in the area... all credit to those putting this festival together.

It was defo 1966 when I was there

Went to Kibblestone a few times as a kid. Perfect location for a big gig Lineup isn't necessarily to my taste, (never heard of ANY of them) but these things have to start somewhere.
