To give Schuey a chance. We've been pretty brutal with our last few managers albeit with some justification, but is our lack of managerial patience adding to the problems. Like others my patience was seriously tested with AN, Rowett and mad Nath. However if we are to ever build some kind of foundation we have to wallow in the mud first, and I really want someone to build a new empire so why not Schuey. Im willing to cut him some slack in the hope that he can find some magic formula/formation to get our team clicking, but as others have mentioned that only goes so far if we dont see some crumbs of encouragement. Dreams of Empires and putting managers on a pedestal is exactly why the club is where it is . Hopefully we’ve moved away from it but many are resisting and want to return to a model that’s failed over and over.

We have to be,we can't keep sacking managers, because nothing will change until PC changes or hands over the reigns.

If you've ever been married it's exactly like that. It starts (more than) ok, but after the honeymoon it gets worse. Not always says someone who's been happily married for 47 years Good for you. You can't say the same about your other love, Stoke City, though. Yet you'd never leave.

I'm a sad supporter since 1958, all the ups and downs, a few great years but you are right, Stokie through and through but reserve the right to moan!

I think it’ll depend, if we can start playing some semblance of the football he promised and the team has intermittently delivered, losing to brain farts and missed chances, I think he’ll be alright. Shitting himself and going all AN/Rowett/Jones and he won’t. I like him, he speaks well, I agree mostly to his philosophy and his profile of player (bar cundle but we’re definitely not seeing the best of him yet IMO).

They would’ve been sacked 5 times over at other clubs, I can’t fathom for one second a lack of patience on the boards or fans part. It’s on the total contrary. We’d probably yield more success if we were more trigger happy imho.

He’s been dealt an incredibly shit hand. I think we should stick with him next season in league 1 as there’s not a chance we stay up. He'll keep us up. Dunna werrit chief 🙏
