I like Shuey but myself & what it seems a lot of others are drained & no longer have the energy for it. I hope he can somehow work miracles for us.
At Sunderland the majority of us didn’t even cheer the goal which they put into their own net for us.
Having said that, if the lads turn up with passion & commitment then the crowd will respond to it.

I hope Steve tries something different on Saturday to protect our fragile defence and give us a better chance of scoring. Wilmot has played as a DM before and I think he'd make a good partner for Burger. Then get the most out of Bae by playing him as a 10. .....................Iverson ..Gooch......Rose........McNally......Thomspon ..............Wilmot........Burger ........................Bae .....Campel............Lowe............Mae Attachment Deleted

Hope they don't come from behind. Or Harry Winks on the pitch Decent! (edit... the comment, not the action)

I'm sorry but I simply can't blindly get behind someone any longer. Those days are long gone. Schumacher needs to convince me that he's worth getting behind rather than the other way around. The signing of Cundle and the ridiculously lightweight midfield selected on Saturday doesn't really help matters. I'll turn up, watch, support the team as best I can muster given the fare on offer, then go home...and if he's stupid enough to pick the team suggested by Miles Offside, I'll probably travel down just to go to the pub with the lads and go home without setting foot inside the stadium! I meant available, sorry. Is he not available then? . Isn’t he at AFCON? If they were kicked out, would he be mentally/physically ready? It must be kind of heartbreaking to lose out in a National side. Probably less so if you’re not from there, I suppose 😅

Come on stokies let’s get behind him, Want to hear ‘Schumacher’s red and white army’ from the first minute to the last.. it clearly isn’t a manager problem, let’s just show him that we are all behind him.. he’s young.. he’s learning and he’s ours for the future. Come on Stoke What's clear is this isn't on SS. It's more our utterly terrible recruitment which has left us with an unbalanced squad not fit for purpose. The recruitment team should hang their heads in shame. 5 pillars of success and not one met.

Here here, I think we will give Leicester a really good game. Yes agree. We really struggle against the Birmingham’s of this world who just sit back and simply want to spoil. There’s absolutely no doubt that Leicester will come hard against us and inevitably leave room for us to play. Looking forward to a very entertaining game. That isn't how Leicester play. They sit very deep. suck the opposition in and get in behind. They only press if chasing the game or already in control. I think we will do better against teams prepared to come at us from the outset but Leicester aren't one of them.

I couldn't agree more with the original post. I like the new manager, and he is a big improvement on the previous one !
Two losses and the oatcake is filled with negative posters who have had enough.
People moaning about his post match comments. At least he seems to know where the issues are.
If he keeps us up then it's job done this season.

I've seen us be far worse than this but knowing we have inadequate people running the show is draining. We just have to pray SS is the difference maker, he's the only thing I'm pinning my hopes to.

Mcnally is a central defender mate and I say that very loosely.

I would be concerned if he didn't know what what the issues are to be honest. Certainly better football than Neil and he did get it horribly wrong on Saturday so criticism is justified on that front. The sooner this season ends the better and he has the Summer to properly deal with things and recruit who he needs.

2 nil down by half time.
Nothing second half.
Lose 2 nil.
I'm going for us having 2 or fewer shots on target

I think we'll see plenty out the door in the summer with more younger, pacier players coming in. Wesley, Clark, McNally, Haks, Baker, Hoever, Stevens?, Campbell? Gayle?.........I wouldn't be surprised to see them all gone, the majority are a given.

Completely agree. I know it's very early days but I have to say I wasn't convinced by Schumacher's appointment right from the start and our semi-reasonable run of form since has not done anything to win me over as yet. The squad that he inherited is undoubtedly unbalanced, frighteningly weak in places, lacking pace and poorly motivated, none of which is (for now) the fault of Schumacher. Despite all his pressers, interviews and reassuring soundbites, the team selections have quickly spiralled into Alex Neil territory with square pegs in round holes and very odd line ups, such as the Sunderland game of Saturday last. I know other managers who were 'successful' with us in recent times such as Macari, Hughes and Pulis didn't have the easiest of starts to their tenancy here and then took the club to greater things. I really hope the same happens for Schu and yes, he does need to be given time and backed financially but I honestly think we're in trouble of sleepwalking to relegation in the same fashion as we did from the Premier League. To allow that to happen would be scandalous.

Means good recruiting, decent players and profitability. Beats playing like we've been stoned the past 7,8 yrs. I'm behind Schu, just think he's inherited an unbalanced collection of other managers' fantasy-picks. Another big Summer, but obviously goal 1 is staying up.

Exactly mate and seems to work with other clubs. Brighton being the obvious example. The key is getting the recruiting right and finding those gems that noone else has spotted. If they are using us to further their career then so be it. I think if we can do that then Schuey will do well as his style of football is what I'd like to see. We might not win every game but at least we've been going for it haven't we.

It’s becoming like Groundhog Day now isn’t it? Rinse and repeat, hopefully this manager gets it right. Signing all these young players if we do probably means more seasons in the Championship. I don’t expect us to challenge for promotion but it’s shit being lower end of the table fodder season after season.

According to someone I trust implicitly and who works in football, one of our biggest issues is that we don't have any players, in their prime (26-29 years old) that we can hang our hat on.
We are largely a young team, with limited Championship experience, littered with ageing pro's who are long past their sell by date (Gayle, Clark, Stevens).
He says, and has said for a long time, until we get a better balance of youngsters and some key players in that prime age group, we will continue to flounder and be blighted by the inconsistencies that we continue to demonstrate week to week.

Michael O'Neill talked about this issue Problem is players of that age are either in the Premier League, have other issues (eg Powell with his injuries), or just are not good enough generally anyway
