I'd rather saw of my own leg and be ruled out on medical grounds that fight a senseless war killing innocent people in order to line some pompous twats pockets. If they think its a war worth fighting then they can lead by example on the front line.
Example of sawing leg may be insensitive on hindsight so apologies for any offense it may cause. But basically I'd rather harm myself and be ruled out on medical grounds than fight a pointless war.

I wouldn’t be going, this is coming from someone that once wanted to serve in the forces.
The way that the leaders of this country has treated many of its people has been nothing short of disgusting and yet they would expect conscription to work? It wouldn’t happen.
The governments power is only worth as much as the people give them. If this genuinely happens, they would get a very firm no from almost everyone under 40

The feminists might not be so keen on that ruling Grace Slick once said, take 5000 Americans and 5000 Germans for example if they want to go to war and let them fight in the middle of nowhere . She may have been a drug fuelled crazy mama but liked her style there until she made a comeback with Starship then she deserved to be to be shot on a battlefield Me..hell no. Even if we were invaded I doubt we’d have the resilience and balls we once had in WWII when invasion was a real threat. I think we’d also have a few fires to put out at home before we even thought of repelling invaders such is the change to the country.

My initial thought was I'd be too old to get conscripted
But then there's no reason why I couldn't fly drones by staring at a computer screen just as well as any 20 year old - so who knows what the age limit might be.

with various ailments and age I would get away with it
but I would serve in home guard type outfit and if the Russians or whoever was coming up the a500 I would fight to save my home and family but I would not go overseas at all
probably a bit selfish I guess
