Possibly one of the most relentlessly and hopelessly shit performances we’ve ever seen. It looked like he was playing under the influence of some strong shit! However I am more angry that he was left on the pitch for 70 minutes! BM He gets hooked at half time Birmingham don’t score the second. I’m amazed he came out for the second half He was absolutely dire. McNally wasn’t much better

Clearly can’t be arsed to play footy. And obviously doesn’t need the money, earned an absolute mint already in his career. I would frig him right off. The biggest issue for me, was why didn’t the manager spot what everyone else in the crowd did? That was weak from schumacher to keep him on the pitch as long as he did.

He's an oddball. Play him at right back and he can't defend for toffee. Play him right of a three and he looks half decent and reasonably solid.

I actually think he’s a better CB than fullback. I got told off for that. Careful 🤣. But yeah i agree as we have better players in his position.

You'd think playing as a CB in a 3 you'd need to have more defensive nous than playing as a RB in a back 4. But to be fair, we were chasing the game at that point so maybe it isn't a fair comparison.

At what stage of his career - and which individual coach in his development decided he was a full-back?
Just bizarre.
Sadly a performance like that has been coming and hasn't come out of a clear blue sky.

Him and McNally were competing as to who could be worse. Mmaee wasn’t far behind them either Doesn’t help they’re stood next to each other either

Thing is FM that was his worst performance this season but I've seen plenty of games where he falls asleep or gives the ball away needlessly.

He has the attributes and can really take it to a match when on show, but consistency is his biggest issue defensively as he doesn't do the basics everytime. You can say the same for Leris. Both fancy going forward over the otherside of the game. I think he's a good player but in a rotation capacity behind Gooch or Leris. I don't get the start over either today, at all.

Out of the many inexplicably shit things he did today, the moment early in the first half where we cleared a cross and he let the ball run out for their throw in topped the lot .
He should never have come out for the second half, the manager has to own their second goal.

It seemed as though Schumacher didn't want to embarass him by subbing him and tried to hide the sub by making it when we scored. He definitely cost us.

It’s a shame because the lad has talent going forward. His attention span and attitude are poor. We can’t afford passengers and so it’s time to bomb him out.

Horror show first half, don’t know what he was doing. Then he somehow managed to look quite capable as part of a back 3! Playing like Schumacher does, you will get more 1v1 battles and Dembele murdered him. For someone who has been playing regularly he looks shot confidence wise.
Not good and I would think Junior and Gooch will get chances ahead of him now.
He’s got something, like he showed last year but he needs to find it regularly if he wants to make it a decent level. He needs someone to coach him closely to get him back on track.

Gorden Banks would have done a better job at full back,he really will keep costing us points when picked.

Thankfully we have two right backs that mean he should be easily replaceable.

We’ve all known for a long time that he cannot defend and teams will always target him as a weak link.Dembele had him on toast 1st half and then he gives away the free kick they score from🙄 He’s more suited to the system we ended up playing but I have my doubts about him in that also

God knows what has gone on in his head. We looked so much better down the right when Gooch came on. He was so much more positive, first instinct to play forward or run forward with the ball. And he can actually tackle. Just like we looked so much more solid when Wilmot replaced McNally. If I was Shumacher I'd be on the phone to Wolves and Burnley as we speak asking them to take Hoever and McNally back. And if they were reluctant I'd tell them in no uncertain terms that if they didn't neither would be getting any game time here barring an injury crisis of biblical proportions. We've got much better in the squad as it is without even bringing anyone else in.

He was appalling today & should have been taken off at half time. The fact that he tried to fake an injury first half because he knew that he was getting well & truly outplayed says it all.

If our manager can't see how bad Hoever is at defending it will be his downfall in the end. We can't keep playing a defender who can't defend. I've hardly seen anyone as bad one on one as this joke of a defender. I can't wait to see him gone to be honest!
