Apologies for posting on the football thread, but thought it might be helpful for people going to Sunderland… Sale on with tickets, a return from Manchester Piccadilly to Newcastle is £2, limited numbers so might be worth moving quick!

Saw Transpennine Express supporting Manhattan Transfer in 1977 or thereabouts.
Sang exclusively in North Country accents whilst performing Ecky Thump routines.

Huge thanks - mates of mine have booked this for that day. I have also booked the family for a day out in York - £7 return for 4 people in half term. Unbelievable value.

Manhattan Transfer, beloved of the more stylish end of the Kings Road Punk 76 crowd, and Transpennine Express brought in the Komsiche/Ballardian mob. Superb planning from the promoter.

I've booked tickets for the Sunderland game for me and my two lads, and returns to York and Leeds in half term for me, the missus and 3 kids. All for £15, can't say fairer than that!!

Take a bow, sir. Certainly the first (and possibly the last) person on here to reference Komische/Ballardian concepts. Bravo!

Kraftwerk really struggling for inspiration at this point.
The double album tribute to shunting “Maschen Marshalling Yard” also still at the concept stage?
