We can go to Leeds and Soton and give a decent account , not saying we'll beat them but nothing to fear. Soton starting to look the part. Still think will be 2 from Leicester, Leeds and Soton. ..no reason we can't look at finishing top 10

Bloody brilliant stuff. We look a different side. Love his team selections too, crazy that Haksabanovic was being left on the scrap heap and think Cundle is gonna be a fine signing.

An excellent start if we could just find a decent striker we could do quite nicely.

People still find a way to moan about unbeaten runs. Unbelievable Jeff.

4 away games unbeaten out of the 7 also👍 Unbeaten runs are pretty meaningless to be honest. 5 draws and two wins equates to 11 points. 4 wins and three losses equates to 12 points. Do the team get more confidence from going unbeaten or been higher up the table ? Give me a side that's hard to beat, over one like Blackburn, for example, who are just as likely to win, as get trashed, week on week.

Appreciate the point in the message, but more points doesnt necessarily mean you are higher up the table, you can get more points and be lower in the table too depending upon who you lose to. It's an excellent start from Schumacher and if he can keep this up we will fly up the league.

Lots of draws in amongst it though if we are being critical. You could say only two wins in seven…. It's certainly a welcome steadying of the ship, but 11 points from the last 7 matches is not exactly amazing. Its kind of lower mid-table form. It’s a decent enough improvement on the last 7 games under AN….. 4 defeats, 2 drawers & 1 win. Those defeats in particularly at home to Sheffield Wednesday & against teams around or below us were very damaging to players confidence.

“In the league”
For me we’re on a one game unbeaten run, but I’d trade a few of those draws for wins and a few for losses.
Schumacher has had a decent start in terms of results, I’m not sure the results reflect the dramatic change we’ve seen on the pitch though, we really are playing like a team now.

Only a staunch half glass full type of person could see that we haven't improved beyond all recognition as a team. We are much easier on the eye and work as a unit. In addition players have got better since his arrival, which given the limited training time is excellent. I am sure many more wins will be forthcoming before the season end.

Under Schumacher, we are also 7th in the form table over the last 5 games. What’s frustating to me is that we had some very winnable games before Neil’s tenure came to an end which he managed to lose. Can’t help thinking that if SS was here then we’d be much higher in the table now. I guess the main thing is he’s here now and for the first time since Mark Hughes I’ve began to feel confident we’ve got a good man at the helm (though I didn’t mind MON). The way he talks is a breathe of fresh air and you can see the players love the way he sets up and unlike Neil he’s pleased to be here and not displaying the image of a man doing the club a favour. Well done to the Coates for bringing him here because he wouldn’t have been my first choice but he just feels right for SCFC.

55 points now? Are you moving the goalposts again Benjamin because you have been telling us repeatedly all season that 50 points is the best we can hope for? I’d take anything from 50 I’ve said that all along and haven’t changed that view today was a huge step, and we just need to keep, ticking over points until we get there. If the clubs target was 50 points I’d be very disappointed. Yesterday’s win puts us on 32 with 19 games to play. We are on target for 55 already without any improvement required.

We must start turning some of these draws into wins. Once again- another game yesterday where we’d not have scored from open play had we played ‘til midnight.
We’re not creating too much and when we do we’re not clinical.
Defensively we look an awful lot better and burger was, again, outstanding in the yards he covered and work he did. Constantly dropping in an nipping things in the bud.
We genuinely look a different side and shuey not to blame for the attacking deficiencies although, as I say, he’s got them looking much much better.

You can dress statistics up to show anything you want, they do it every week at Utd with Ten Hag. Either he’s statistically the greatest manager since Ferguson or he’s the worst manager in living memory.
The table doesn’t lie and neither do your eyes, we are heading upwards in the league and we don’t look like a team heading into relegation. We look a better team on the pitch and I’d rather watch Schumacher’s style of play over Neil’s.
It really is that simple.

Generally speaking, apart from the odd game here and there, I've been bored, apathetic and, at times, embarrassed watching us play football for the past few years. Now, finally, the hope, excitement and anticipation has returned. Anything else is a bonus. I just want to love my team and my manager. Schuey is making that happen.

I agree in the long run but I’m talking about after the manager was sacked and it includes 4 away games🤔Some are just never satisfied Gallagher definitely steadied the ship in the first two matches he took charge for after Neils departure which was no mean feat as were quickly spiralling at that point. But considering SS took over just before the crazy Christmas & NY period of fixtures every few days, & the fact we were still confidence low at this stage but he has still managed to continue the unbeaten run going that PG started off & in the process has gained us 9pts from a possible 15 with 3x clean sheets amongst his five matches in charge is very commendable in my book. This last week was the first proper Saturday to Saturday spell of non fixture rest & recovery & training that Schumacher & his team have had to prepare the team and already the signs are there that we're far more resilient and also far more stable in all areas of play now. I also like the way SS makes the subs when he sees fit, but strangely & possibly coincidentally the changes he makes don't adversely affect our style or disrupt our play. How often have we seen AN or even MON making subs and our formation & lines get broken and we were quickly on the back foot. The amount of late goals we've conceded have stopped when AN got sacked & the differences are already clear to see. You can look at this 7x match unbeaten run as a glass being half empty, but I see it as being half full but filling up gradually as the weeks go by. This current run we're on is galvanising not only the players to be looking more confident & positive, but also the fans are feeling the change aswell. The atmosphere at Rotherham today considering the match wasn't full of goal action was immense & I've heard more Schumachers Red & White army during one match than I think I ever heard Alex Neil being sung about.. Spot on mate 👏 Also you’re spending more time on the radio than your mate these days as well😊

Its kind of lower mid-table form. 11 points from 7 extrapolated over 27 games would have us in 6th place with 42 points. Better than I thought then. It would get you 70 points across a whole season. Is that enough for the final playoff place most of the time? I'm not sure. Either way it's pulled us away from relegation which I'd take for now.

By extension give Ricky Martin credit as he lead the recruitment process and also Coates when he finally recognised a change in structure was required. It isn't a coincidence that we have a cohesive approach and see actual positive progress since I don't even know when. That Jared Dublin managed to find players like Burger, Junho and Tchamadeu with limited time to prep seemingly is very good I think. Onwards and upwards hopefully. This summer should be really exciting with more time to prepare.

I actually think the draws aren’t a bad thing.
Neil couldn’t get draws. He’d lose games we should draw.
We’ve had 8 this season. Neil only got 3.
11 loses.
So we’ve gone from turning games we’d lose into draws. Millwall and Ipswich we’d have lost under Neil for sure.
Looking at it the other way is just reading what’s gone on incorrectly imo.

Not really. I like a good number of the attackers we have. Mmaee, Vidigal, Bae, Campbell and Tezgel is a good base to work from. I think we’ll add one more. And I hope they have pace. And our best finisher just came back from injury yesterday. We aren’t going to sign 2/3 more for Jan. So there’s no point crying over spilt milk. We will score more, we will win more. We’ve basically flicked a switch going fron trying not to win to a front attack style. It’s not going to fully click over night.

Fans were quick (in my eyes) to criticise Gallagher for his tensure but the Swansea and WBA results helped to stead the ship to which SS has acknowledged.
Level with Blackburn which is madness in itself.
