Being fashionable isn't about wearing the best brands and labels - it's about putting an outfit together which is in trend for the season with each part complimenting eachother. I'm not fashionable anymore but liked to think I was in my early 20s and bought alot of clothes from smaller online bespoke retailers or vintage clothes. Something nice about being unique and having clothes which weren't commonly available on the High Street. I did laugh though at the Mrs younger brother who once told me his tee shirt cost more than my outfit and is still very particular and fussy about brands. He's mid 20s now and has been single his whole life and looks like he will never leave home at this rate. (Nothing wrong with being single or living home at that age. More just funny that he seemed to boast about having expensive clothes. Women are more impressed by good taste than flash labels unless they want you for your wallet). Great website for fashion - www.fashionbeans.com/category/mens-fashion/Should reiterate I don't consider myself fashionable anymore. Plus I know alot of you lot are older than me so maybe labels mean more for that generation when it comes to fashion than it does mine.

I have a theory that dressing down and getting it right is at least as difficult and expensive as dressing up! As for attracting women, more important to make them laugh than bedeck yourself in high end brand names like a trussed up chicken. The last thing they want is someone who is more in love with himself than them! 😆

It's like those roadmen running around in their Canadian goose jackets and amarni handbags over their shoulders thinking they're fashionable. Just a copy and paste of eachother. Those silly bags look ridiculous too hope noone hear uses them. Does anyone use them for anything aside from shifting gear?

I tend to fall into the Spartan category of self-care:
Will use aftershave on special occasions no idea which one it is, had it 5+ years
Mainly use coconut oil to moisturise and as an effective deodorant
Cut own hair/shave twice weekly
Cut toe nails with wire snippets (better and cheaper than any nail clippers)
Daily cold showers. Occasional hot bath

Hair and body care is whatever shampoo/shower gel is lying around at the time. Shower every time, I haven't had a bath for 15 years it's essentially lying in your own filth. Deodorant is whatever is on clubcard offer in Tesco at the time. Beard I generally get tidied up when I get a haircut, I don't bother with any of these fancy lotions or oils. Boxers and socks I generally get for Xmas which lasts me for 12 months, usually Next or H&M. Clothes are generally a retro football shirt or polo shirt, a pair of Levis and a pair of New Balance trainers, I do spend a bit more on work clobber bought a blazer, a few nice shirts and a nice pair of brogues from Charles Tyrwhitt recently all in the sale with about 50% off. Gym or running gear generally the Stoke training tops/shorts if they're decent that season, and a pair of running shoes from Running Bear in Alderley Edge again in the sale (currently Brooks)
My philosophy is jump in the shower, stick a bit of wax on my hair, throw on what's to hand and I'm away..........

Don't tend to spend big on much, unless there's something I really want. Places like New Life are also really good, and I've found loads of Ted Baker and Superdry stuff in places like that with small defects like a tiny fabric fault or a non-working zip. Only really spend on long-lasting purchases like shoes or coats.
Aftershave - Joop Hair product - V05 matte paste stuff Deodarent - Sure (cheap) Bath or shower - Bath at home, but tend to shower at the gym anyway beard or clean shaven - Stubble but use an electric razor moisturiser - Nivea/Ambre Solaire after sun Haircut - As and when it gets too long, probably every 8-10 weeks or so Any other products you could recommend - Nasal hair/ear hair trimmer Boxers - No preference Socks - No preference, but can't stand thin/smart socks. Get me some chunky ones Jeans - No preference, probably River Island or anything of M&M T Shirts - No preference, maybe Fred Perry as the material is nice Suits - None Coats - Superdry/Penguin Shoes - Ted Baker Trainers - No preference - Puma/Nike/Adidas all fine Gym gear - No preference - Under Armour if it's cheap enough

I've gone the other way from Boss and Armani to looking like a tramp on occasions. I only make an effort these days to save the embarrassment of the kids and friends Ralph Loren is my friend so I never smell so bad I’ve got three wardrobes full of Boss, Armani, Moncler, Paul Smiith, Ralph Lauren, Belstaff and shoes/trainers from Oliver Sweeney (superb btw). Very rare I wear the clothes now and CBA selling the stuff my lad on occasion helps himself to whatever he feels like. I tend to stick to all saints stuff now, washes ok and looks casual when out, going to Puerto Rico in a few weeks and it’ll be the all saints stuff I’ll take. Speaking to a someone recently who told me if I wanted well made clothes stick to MS, had a few bits from their and it’s quite with it, especially their suits. Finding now that lots of designers are using using recycled material and they don’t tend to last as long
