Would kill for a prime Bertie upfront now Exactly lou had a better squad of players available to him for that level and critically goals in it . Poor Steven has yet to see a open play goal by one of our players after 3 attempts at home. You wouldn't rule out that being 5 or 6 unless we add forwards before Birmingham Expecting wins in new two games including goals from open play The change is there for all to see As with Macari what appears on paper to be a slow start is a pre curse to a really good spell 4 goals from open play already away from home

I saw that one vs Fulham and the one after that vs Hartlepool, both at Victoria Ground. 🤠 Steino’s first match, Musik man! Show in reader view to obliterate the ads… “My first game was at Hartlepool and Johnny Butler got the winner. I looked around at Bertie (Wayne Biggins), Buts and Beest (Carl Beeston) and thought we had some team. And I’d dropped a division, too. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-mark-stein-macari-1504978?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#google_vignette

I can say I’ve enjoyed all our performances since Schumacher took over apart from the first one. Renewed vigour, playing on the front foot. We just need “something” better than we have in forward areas. Burger has been superb I have to say

If Defoe was playing in 1991, he would've been 8 years old 😂 He did score past us whilst on loan at Bournemouth though but that would've been around 2000/2001. He was a different class that day.

Even Kamara managed 3 draws in his first 6 matches. TP had a wretched start. Bloody disgrace he wasn’t sacked on the spot looking at that I imagine he would be these days.

1 win 4 goals in 4 league games. That its deemed satisfactory by most just shows how bad things had got. The performances are like night and day to what came before. It’s been a massive turnaround in a really short time. It’s incredible the difference really given he’s only has today that came after a full week of training. 3 of the 5 have been away games. 1 of the 2 home games was against an automatic promotion challenger (with a rather harsh sensor off thrown in), and the other was one of those ridiculous games where one team has 20 shots and doesn’t score. If this a slow start, I can’t wait to see what happens when it speeds up. I’ll be honest, I was willing to write off the first 4 games given the ridiculous time frame. The fact he got 1.5 points a game in that spell given the way things had been going was insanely good in my eyes. To now have 9 after 5 is making me worry it’s too good! he’ll be getting poached at the end of the season if this carries on.
