Some fouls are obvious Bacon That's not the point. Players are told how officials will deal with certain offences and at the moment Burger's foul does not attract a red therefore it's sensible under the circumstances to "take one for the team" whether you approve or not. And as I've said I think if they changed the directive Burger is a switched on enough player to adjust his actions accordingly. He's not like some loose cannon or other such description. I'm really pleased to disagree with you. We can agree on that. " We've got another shit ref"...if he doesn't enforce the rules.... Our way! You still miss my general point about Burger, but never mind

Yes, all refs should enforce the rules And players should stop trying to cheat Refs aren’t consistent that’s the problem Are you saying someone today was cheating? You are correct about consistency. They do have an impossible job, with the speed of the game and IF players are trying to cheat. It depends what you mean by " cheat ". Intentionally breaking the rules and trying to get away with it is cheating. I don't think it could happen in other sports. What I'm saying isn't specific to today!!. My point really is...I really like Burger, but he does commit some obvious fouls, when "taking one for the team" I guess Henry's handball against Ireland should be commended.....unless you are Irish, in which case you feel cheated. Was that the ref's fault or Henry's? Where do you draw the line between a "professional" foul and cheating?

Like you say Henry’s goal was cheating as it won them the goal with a handball ie maradona Agree re burger it seems every game he pulls someone back but to me this is a professional foul not cheating it’s part of the game like time wasting. It is annoying I agree

Tight scrappy game but we had the bit of quality to make the difference. Aforementioned bit of quality means we were worthy of the victory.

A professional performance.
Players playing for each other, attempts to move the ball quickly even if didn’t always pay off.
A disciplined 20 minutes where they had their only spell and didn’t register a shot on target at home.
As Schumacher and McNally says now we don’t have midweek games for a few weeks training has risen in intensity and he’s slowly bringing in more ideas.

That's the mad thing with the Championship - we're in 17th, but 8 points off with 19 games still to play. It'd be a bit naive to think we could do anything this year, but go on a bit of a run and you can soon shoot up the league. Apologies for posting too much, but I'm excited. Agree - I think a bit of a run would make me happy given where we're coming from. Sustain this incremental improvement Don't apologise mate, keep posting!

When did we last beat the same team three times in a single season? According to AI this is the first time ever! ChatGPT: "As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, I do not have specific information on Stoke City beating the same team three times in a single season. Soccer statistics and records may change, and it's advisable to check the latest sources or official football databases for the most up-to-date information on team achievements and match outcomes."

We did actually beat Huddersfield three times in the 1970/71 season - twice in the league and in an FA Cup replay after two draws. ChatGPT chats shit

Grateful we won. Rotherham are a tough team, who can give any team a game and a half on their day. Baker's goal is an absolute gem.
