One to injury lol still baffling with so many matches a new manager and half the squad doesn't get used, ever. Angela is right, these kids need to move on if AN and Shuey don't ever give em a start away or at home to the likes of Gayle and Johnson. Ordinarily I'd have been underwhelmed with the last 2 subs but the circumstances called for experienced older heads and so it proved . Johnson I thought made 1 or 2 tidy interceptions and Gayle for all his shiteness drew a free kick right at the end to take the pressure off. Lowe and Sidebe will get their chances I'm sure ,today wasn't the situation to throw them on imo.

Sidibe looked utterly lost when last on and Lowe, whilst great that he's local is not the answer

Nobody ever likes the truth on here. But that second half continuing with a weird lineup drugged, if you think that was very decent. How far the standards have fallen. Nuts then. Weāve played a decent side with quality and weāve put in a decent performance. Without the red card I think thereās a good chance weād have won it. The team look organised, together and committed. We look organised in defence and are starting to produce some threatening attacks. Spot on, we did reasonably well going forward until the sending off, and even then we had a decent chance to win it had Gayle got on the end of Hoeverās cross. Iām sure weād have been more attacking for the last 30 with 11 men on the field, but a very hard earned point in the end.

I'd rather have Sidibe and Lowe everytime from seeing the shiteness of Gayle and Johnson trying to hold the ball.

At the end of ninety minutes my immediate feelings were one of relief. Stoke deserved at least a point! Personally I am not too bothered about the Cup game against Brighton but it buys us time before we have to play in the league again. It was nice to see Baker and Wilmot back to support the team. Baker's threat from outside the area was evident. We now have the Transfer Window which gives the manager the opportunity to plug the holes he sees in the team. I think it would be also fair to chat to one or two of the players and give them the opportunity to move on. If I had the opportunity to choose I'd be most probably finding better players to replace Gayle, Hoever and Wesley. Baker did enough today to show he can be a threat on the edge of the penalty area. Bonham has done enough recently to warrant more support from fans but it is only natural for a manager to be searching for better. Onwards and upwards in 1924. Well done Shumacher and his staff. Agree with most of that but 1924!!!!

If that is the case then Thompson is very stupid as he was lucky to get the free kick in the first place. He messed up his touch and dived on the ball to stop them getting the break away 1v1. He was lucky not to be sent off for the hand ball, to then get sent off anyway for something as stupid as that is brain dead.

Well hopefully because in that season we finished 6th in Div 2. Although the season was soured after a group of players who the club had not given new contracts broke in and smashed up offices and dressing rooms.

I agree with Angela I guess. Lets see if Shuey keeps that up. Whats the point of an academy if the kids don't get minutes. Ever?

That if Sidibe and Lowe came on instead we'd have won the game ?That one or both would have picked up the ball and ran 50 yards unchallenged into space ?Or we'd have still drew it but you'd have been happier? Or ,of course we may well have lost it !

Moan moan moan...... with the players he has used we are unbeaten in 6 šš It's not a moan lol it's the truth. Like I said, the good was players getting the 6th. Thanks for agreeing. Forget it sunshine, you obviously can't see reason. You will be happier tomorrow back at school having a moan at Miss and your little friends. Last post from me it's getting tiresome.

Fully expected a loss. Especially when the best players on Ipswich were referees.

I guess the most recent rule changes are taking time to sink in. Teams still waste time as if unaware that time will be added on at the end down to each second wasted, and players still wave imaginary cards automatically, because they've been doing that automatically trying to get marginal gains for years, as if they are unaware that refs are now expected to react to that. Whether unpleasant for Stoke or not, I think referees should be applauded for finally applying the football laws to football...

It did for the first week, then Guardiola et al spewed their bile and now we are back to ānormalā. If referees actually applied the rules to football, Iād be fine with it. Indirect free kicks for goalkeepers holding onto a ball for over 6 seconds. Bookings for players like Morsley who fly into challenges without control (even if it would have been a sending off), bookings for all players who dissent (not just one and done), penalizing for foul throws. If a ref actually had the balls to stick to the letter of the law consistently, I think everyone would be happier. Instead, they simply pick and choose.

I thought it had been around for at least a decade, possibly two, itās just they are clamping down on it this season. No complaints from me, Iām not going to applaud the ref on this instance, but had it been a player from Man Utd or Chelsea Iād be applauding him. Iād like to see more respect for referees, football is lacking behind other sports in this regard and it doesnāt set a good example for the younger generation.

People keep banging on about starting him and for me it would be the worst thing you could do, not for the team but for the lad. The same applies for Sidibe. Nobody wants these pair to succeed more than myself but itās simply too soon.

Thompson (to Ipswich player): you had my shirt, that should be a yellow Ref (to Thompson): What did you say? Thompson: He had my shirt it should be a yellow. Thompson gets second yellow. This is stupid, and it's not assumption, it's deduction. It was definitely about something said. So, if two players talk to each other, thatās a booking? Where is that in the rule book? This line is to the ref: Thompson: He had my shirt it should be a yellow. Edit - from the above it looks like he waved an imaginary card. Same difference. Silly of him.

So, if two players talk to each other, thatās a booking? Where is that in the rule book? If that was the conversation then it seems stupid by the ref. Players are allowed to talk to each other. If the ref asked "what did you say?" then that just feels like shitty entrapment. Totally different from running over unprompted to give an earful. Yeah. Still silly of JT to say anything other than "nothing". I like him, he should definitely start alongside Burger.

A lot of debate about the sending off. What about his first yellow card.? I felt it was a bit harsh. A fifty/fifty ball that neither player drew out of.
