Thought exactly the same re junho he was layed out on the floor at full time after giving everything. I would rest him for this one but we don’t want Johnson back in 🤷♀️

We're very stretched in terms of personnel now. I'd avoid playing Hoever at all, but once Junior goes off to AFCON we won't have an alternative if Gooch is out. Assuming that Pearson is injured:
Bonham
Tchamadeu McNally Rose Thompson
Burger Baker
Haksabanovic Junho Vidigal
Mmaee
subs: Simkin, Wilmot, Clark, Johnson, Sidibe, Jojic, Wesley, Lowe, Tezgel

Not a bad time to be playing Ipswich. They’re missing a number of key players and are without a win in their last four.
It’ll still be really tough game with the hectic schedule and our own injury problems starting to take its toll on the squad.
Bonham
Hoever McNally Rose Thompson
Burger Baker Bae
Tchamadeu Mmaee Haksabonovic
I don’t rate Hoever and I’d much rather Tchamadeu play in his natural position but Vidigal looks like he could do with a rest. Same for Bae but there’s not really anyone to replace him.

Would be great to see sidibe at side of burger with baker in front. I wonder if he will play junho thinking no league game for 2 weeks with fa cup

With Southampton coming like a train eating into Ipswich's lead over them then hopefully they bottle it with the extra pressure. Southampton are flying, it wouldn't surprise me if they overtake Leicester too the way they are going.

I think gravity is catching up with Ipswich.
They are 4 without a win now and about to be be mown down by Southampton for the 2nd automatic promotion slot.
Unsusually for me I quite fancy us to win this one.

Unsusually for me I quite fancy us to win this one. I don't know if our squad have enough in the tank to win the game but it would be nice. The players will naturally get fitter and fitter the more they continue to play this high intensity attacking game. Once our fitness levels are above many of the other teams in the league you would hope we finish the season strongly.

Ipswich are starting to struggle a bit now and we have a better record over the last 5 games They'll be in the same boat as us with games played. S has to put out his strongest side

Same side apart from Pearson, wouldn’t countenance Hoever, Johnson or Wes. Probably means keeping Thompson at full back, so Baker in midfield (not sure he’s fit enough) or taking a punt on Sidibe. Squad is woefully thin at the moment.
Could keep Thompson in midfield, Wilmot in and Rose left back.
Lots of work needed in January you would think for key areas of the team.

Anyone know how long Gooch is out for? Miss his energy and versatility

Be an interesting one for the SCFC charity. Ipswich desperate for something on the back of poor results(by their current standards). If we beat them could be an indicator we are done with the charity shit.

Ipswich without Hurst and a few podcasts I listen to think they will struggle without a focal point.
I haven't seen much in them all season apart from a group of fit footballers riding the crest of a wave after promotion.
Think we will turn them over quite comfortably.

Agree there Lorders Need Thompson in there not Grizzly feckin lumbering Adams especially V a team who were first to do many loose midfield balls at their place, something we did to Birmingham with no Pearson. Ipswich faltering a bit, very lucky with that pen decision V QPR last night , clear pen in injury time.

Broadhead, Burns and Davis were all missing for them last night. All massive players for them. Burns should be back for this one and Morsey is back from suspension so they’ll be stronger than they were last night.

Hoever in for Pearson my only change with Thompson moving to CM. None of the subs did themselves any favours in relation to there cameos yesterday and will weaken us.

Baker is clearly not fit to start a game IF we had the same team that started at Brum would expect a win but sadly we won't due to injuries. Thompson in midfield 2-1 win, Pearson 0-2 loss

I have seen nothing to suggest Junho struggles physically. It is noticeable that his influence and involvement seem to increase in the last third of a match when others are waning. Starting without him Mmaee, Vidigal or Haks is unthinkable to me. They need to get to know each other's play but Junho already puts some lovely balls into them.

Not that I am wanting him rested as your right he they all need games together. I was really hoping he would have taken his chance for himself lastnight would do him the world of good

Surprised at the optimism, think many on here are underestimating the strength of this Ipswich side.
We've drawn against Millwall, beaten a poor Birmingham side and drawn against a Watford side who had 10-men for almost half the game.
I'd take a draw from Ipswich.

Thinking he will have to play left back assuming Pearson isn't fit meaning Thompson to midfield I'd still like to see Hoever play wide right in front of Junior I'm shit scared every time Hoever has the ball at the back, and every time the ball is played in his direction! So, having Junior as our right back is a must in my opinion, and if I could choose Hoever wouldn't even be in the squad.

He can’t move properly at the moment
