...what position would you go for?
For me, it'd have to be a keeper.
Bonham has done his usual thing of 2 or 3 decent games followed by a clusterfuck, while Fielding might as well not exist. Whatever we have to spend in January (the 'money for tweaks' quote from Ricky M before Christmas makes me think it's probably no more than £1m) needs to be spent wisely in this position.
It may be that we have to look at who's out of contract in the summer and try to get them for a knock-down fee. Having said that, I'd be more than happy if we can get Travers back on a permanent deal (whether we'd be able to FFP 'afford' the fee at the moment is another thing.)

We can 'muddle' through until the summer with the rest if absolutely necessary. With a bit of direction, organisation and a plan of attack/defence the rest would improve anyway.

CB. Could massively improve us, we're also one injury away from serious issues.
(was gonna say GK but felt like being different)

The fact that right up to the deadline we were pursuing BTA who's fee was around £5m makes you think there might be a bit more than £1m available.

CB, it's badly needed, I think Rose and McNally are forming an understanding now which is good but we really need an upgrade.

I reckon it'll be 3 in and 3 out. We'll probably do a couple of loans.
They've already presented the January shopping list, but surely he'll add a few he was tracking for Plymouth.
BUT if one, then a Left back.

Checked on the Plymouth forum and there’s a lot of worry Schumacher will go in for some of their players. Namely Morgan Whittaker. Based on how highly they rate him I’m going for him!

Swansea aside I’m genuinely racking my brains as to what these clusterfucks were? I’d go left back or mobile target man all day long…….

With Fielding out and Simkin clearly not ready, keeper. Having said the CB situation isn't much better. Anything else is a bonus and probably dependant on someone leaving.

A really good solid but mobile centre half. The rest of the squad, bar the keeper, are good enough for the new man to get a tune out of.
