Don’t know why, but I can see Burger at Bournemouth as a first step which will seriously pee me off. Could also see him potentially at Arsenal if he progresses to another level which will pee me off again 😂 £22 million, they can keep the change.

Wasn't quite sure at first he'd make the step up to this level but he has. Well done to him

He’s absolute class. He’ll be in the PL in a year or 2. Naahh. He's OK but not Prem quality. Top end championship. Yoyo club maybe like Burnley.

Superb today, really stood up and was a colossus when we went down to ten.
Showing signs of that early promise again.

Thinking a club like Burnley or sheff United who will be in the Prem for a season and then back in the championship the season after. If you think that's Prem quality then so be it. Let's just hope he progresses enough to drive us up the league.

If you are playing regularly in the Premier League, then you are Premier League quality. You are literally one of the people that makes up the range of quality in that league, even if you are on the lower end of it.

By that logic then there are no players from any club in this league who you could say are PL quality. Yet when we went up we had the likes of Fuller, Whelan, Shawcross Sidibe Delap amongst others who stepped up to the mark. Truth is you never know.

Of course you never know but to say the lad will be playing in the Premier soon is a bit far fetched. He's played half a season in the Championship where he's had half a dozen decent games. He's like Bambi on ice sometimes and over reliant on his left peg. As stated .. potential to be a very good player.

Brought in unknowns like Kante and Mahrez and put together a very good side. Let's hope for something similar hey

Head and shoulders man of the match. Very disappointed in the work rate of Baker and Thompson today, who sat back and let Wouter do the work of three. Superb Wouter. Take a bow son. Bakers first start in 8 months following a 6 month injury and would have been subbed in 65 mins had it not been for the JT sending off. Give the guy a bit of credit. Fair point and time will tell on that one. Unlike some on the Mmaee thread, I'll gladly hold my hands up if I'm wrong.

Was it offside?! Quality again today. Being a captain suits certain players and he’s one of them. He likes the responsibility and thrives on it. It didn’t look offside to me with the left back playing him on. Mind you the keeper didn’t look particularly arsed about saving it Yes I think the linesman made the mistake of looking past the defender on his side of the field who was actually playing Burger onside and rightly judging him to be ahead of the more central defenders

I love how Wouter Burger has taken to our Club and we have hopefully taken to him. But... I just don't think he has the attributes to be a top Prem player. No shame in that of course and hope he will prove me wrong (with SCFC of course) Opinions of course. Out of all of our recent purchases I would say that Junior has the best chance of making top grade.

I think the club have managed to sign a priceless treasure.
This guy has it all, skill, stamina, determination, leadership. Under Neil he expended too much effort on the physical battle with opponents. Now he is concentrating on his own game and the rest of the team.
The club should sit him down and offer an improved deal for a long term contract, because he will not be here long before one of the big clubs come calling for him. The club needs to be in a position to cash in on him, so they can buy a replacement when the time comes.
Meanwhile let's enjoy him. As Smithy said he's the best MF since N'Zonzi.

On a yellow and his challenge was verging on a straight red. Hmm I think Morsy ran the game for them myself. Not Burgers fault though, he didn't get much help with the other pair next to him.

I think it was clear that as soon as Burger got to grips with championship football he would shine, Juho looks like he's adapting very well unlike Videgal and Mmae who spend more time rolling around on the pitch waiting for free kicks.

If Morsy ran it he must be surrounded by poor players, only 2 shots on target to our four despite having a spare man for a third of the game.

He has played for Basel FC in the Swiss Super League, over 100 games, joined in the European cup. What did you expect? We bought him for 56 Million SEK (£4,3M). I'm surprised he picked a Championship club.

He's getting better game by game, and obviously relishes the captaincy.
It'll be interesting to see what SS does with the captaincy when Gooch is back fit - Pearson doesn't want it and it doesn't suit him, Gooch reacted well and was obviously SS's first pick, but Wouter has really responded to it last 2 games.
