How much money are you on? Not much I'm medically retired. I'm just curious to the answer, I wish the new guy all the best.

So we're currently paying him £1 million and AN £1.5 million? You can see how easy it is to burn money owning a football club.

He'd have come for half that if we actually negotiated properly for once.

So about £20k a week. Bit less than the £200k Potters on. Hardly surprising we couldn't tempt him.

Most people seem to think Steven reports in to Richard Martin. On that basis is it safe to assume Martin earns more than that? Or is it more like how many players, while they work for the manager, earn more than the manager? So Haaland earns more than Pep for example, at least I guess he does.

Not much I'm medically retired. I'm just curious to the answer, I wish the new guy all the best. Me too it's fookin great innit. Whats worse is the Dr's dont even know whats wrong with me. My blood clots and causes me issues, blind in one eye and lost my leg, spent literally years of my life on a drip in hospital as they tried to figure it out. Got told I could patent my illness.

It's a bizarre and random thing isn't it?
I mean 18 months ago Schumacher is assistant manager at 3rd division Plymouth, presumably pulling down the same kind of salary as whoever is Vale's assistant manager, about £60k per annum I guess.
Now 18 months later here he finds himself on 20 times that figure with Bet365 parking wheelbarrow loads of bank notes he doesn't know what to do with outside his front door each month.
He must have to pinch himself.

In what other walk of life can you agree a deal with your employer, then be as utterly wank as you like, knowing full well that regardless, you'll get paid up your salary in full?

Also Bank Chief Executives. Bring a bank to its knees and hey presto receive a golden handshake of 40 million to get rid of you. Im lucky to get a nice reference, and my unused holidays paid out

My understanding of AN's salary was that it was up to $1.5MM not $1.5MM basic. A similar deal for schumacher capped at just over $1MM would make sense. I think base salary for Stoke managers in the Championship was somewhere between $600-800k. I don't think we are as far away from the mainstream as people like to portray us. All of the above is complete conjecture picked up from snippets of info reported in the media which we all know to be completely baseless in general.

The last 3 I worked for all came in saying they were going to turn the Company around. All 3 left having made many millions and the 4th came in with exactly the same message.

Excerpt from 'How to rob a bank' by Willy Porter Some say you'll need a driver, a Nixon mask and gun But let me tell you brothers and sisters that's not how you get a bank job done You can't walk in there brazen with an Uzi like Patty Hearst I'm gonna secure myself a seat on the board of directors first That's how you rob a bank
