Want to get the dog a nice big bone for xmas day, stops him begging off the family while we eat dinner etc. Any ideas of what type or where to buy from? I don’t want him shitting bits of bone out all day or even worse a trip to the vets🤦🏻♂️

We got ours an Ostrich bone, cost between £10-£15 but there's still some left and it's been almost a couple of months.
There's a lot of natural dog treat businesses popping up on the markets or there's 1 in Longton called So very Dog. They all sell them.

Get a Yak bone, loads of places do them. It's Milk based I think, but last for ages. Not cheap mind, about £12 for a large one.

Got ours from Newcastle pet supplies. We've got a Springer that loves to chew things

I wouldn't bother cooking it, just give it to them raw, only ever fed ours raw food, the BARF feeding plan, vet visits were very rare.

Have you tried one of those dog treat balls? My daughter's dog bashes the thing around the kitchen for hours trying to get the treats out

You can checked the StuffedHound - great natural dog treats and they have selection boxes. www.thestuffedhound.com/Local as well based in Rode Heath so good to support small local businesses.

This is one area I cannot help with as we don't give ours any. It's the one thing that he's a dickhead about, he'd bite your ankles off if you went near him. Twat.

Big dogs. Boil a big leg knuckle bone in beef stock and give them that. Whatever you do, DON'T give them one of the leather ones tied in a knot each end. They're full of shit chemicals.
Little dogs. A cow marrow bone done the same way.
Use the stock they were boiled in and add half a half-cupful to each of their meals.
OS.
